Musings Of An Average Joe: At Least Wait Till All The WWII Vets Are Dead
Fox Nation ^ | September 20, 2015 | Joe Bilello

According to recent polls, socialist Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has opened up double-digit leads over Hillary Clinton in Iowa and New Hampshire, home to the nation's first presidential caucus and primary - and everyone in Arlington National Cemetery has simultaneously turned over in their graves.

On June 6, 1944, Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy, France en route to Berlin to liberate Europe from Adolf Hitler's national Socialist workers party. Immediately following the surrender of the German socialists and the axis powers, the United States engaged in a nearly 50-year Cold War against the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. While direct conflict between the world’s two superpowers may have been nonviolent, over 100,000 Americans lost their lives in Korea and Vietnam fighting to stop the spread of left-wing extremism. And now, merely a few decades later, a self-avowed socialist is surging in the Democrat primary polls.

To be clear, there are no comparisons to be made between Adolf Hitler and Bernie Sanders other than the fact that both men used the same weapon of choice in an attempt to become the most powerful man in the world, and that weapon is class warfare. Hitler used class warfare to gain the support of the German workers by pitting them against the "capitalists," in particular the “exploitative” Jewish capitalists. Bernie Sanders has and will continue to attempt the same tactics by vilifying successful Americans as a means to rally the "have-nots" behind the cause of "justice." After all, in order to justify the confiscation of people's wealth you must first demonize them and convince the people that they deserve to be punished.

As a former socialist wayyyy back in my misguided youth, I can categorically state that socialism is a death trap. It is a mindless and maniacal, insidious and invasive cancer that addles the mind and poisons the soul. Bernie Sanders was lionized by leftists way back when he was mayor of Burlington, VT. He was held up as an example of how stupid the electorate could be. And, he is at it, again. Don’t be fooled by the sonofab*tch.

Federal control of the educational system (DOE) in America has blatantly encouraged the voting population to repeat world history because that history was deliberately not taught to them. All political history inimical to their goals was purged from the U.S. school curriculum by the liberals.

That’s what Bernie Sanders’ real secret weapon is: Total ignorance of past history by the current stock of American voters.

He’s an anachronism and anathema to anyone who knows of the philosophical conflicts and loss of life that occurred on the world stage over the past hundred years. The dumbing-down of America has succeeded.

The sad truth is that a lot of the Greatest Generation voted this country in a leftward direction for decades. LBJ was a WWII vet. He gave us the Great Society.

People are quick to see the Greatest Generation as a golden generation which was pure and holy.
People are also quick to see the Baby Boomers as a generation that took drugs and danced in the mud at Woodstock.

I'd prefer that people look back at the Founders and just support Limited Government. Who cares what the generations of the twentieth century did or did not do?

I don’t think you can compare them to the “progressives” of today

I think popped that cherry when we crawled into bed with the Communist Chinese so our CEOs could have 5 vacation homes instead of just 2.

If Bernie is elected I would like to know how he will turn all those “excess” underarm deodorant companies into food companies.

Righto and people forget he is running against Mrs. Clinton who is responsible for a good pile of the anti-vote.

Wise encouragement. The Founders studied classical texts for the sake of knowledge and wisdom itself. It is rare to find such people of today.

I never thought I would have to ever worry about a socialist winning the white house. But the young seem to love him and there is an abundance of spoiled, stupid people in this country.

They dont know what suffering is. But seems like they are dying to find out.

Why are your paintings signed “R.Nix”? Guess that’s your real name. Some of them are quite good. And well-executed. Did you get schooling to learn to paint, or are you self-taught?

Not quite. But the democrats have been flat out pond scum since the 1890’s. People that elected only rat Congressesss from 1954 on bare culpability for the decline of America.

Righto and people forget he is running against Mrs. Clinton who is responsible for a good pile of the anti-vote.

You can compare both of them profitably, both Rodham and Sanders, to Enver Hoxha and Nicolae Ceaucescu, smalltime megalomaniacal Communist hardliners who ran their countries into the ground.

And as for Rodham being a woman, remember that when the Romanian revolutionaries caught the Ceaucescus, it was the Madame whose mouth kept running, barking orders and demanding they unhand her, until the firing squad shut her up for good.

My mother, when I was a boy, told me in response to my ingenuous question about whether men were more inclined to be bad guys (like on TV) than women, replied that men certainly outnumber women in prison, "but when women go bad, they're the worst."

I had to think about that one a long time. Hard to square with Betty Crocker and Our Miss Brooks.

I think most socialism is motivated by envy and resentment. We all have that to some measure. Most of us get a grip at some point. But socialists politicians exploit this and magnify envy and resentment by telling their unthinking constituents that they should be more angry and that they deserve to be given what someone else has. The truly sad part of this is that the voting sheeple who attempt to vote themselves more goodies off the sweat of someone else’s brow rarely see any of it. It’s the politicians and their cronies who rake in the big bucks.
