He looks like a teenager.

Yep, there's a lot of balding teenagers out there, nowadays. ;-)

Walker has had everything thrown at him possible during the recall election here in Wisconsin. If there was a story coming, the fist pumping red shirted communists that invaded the capital to the sound drums and the smell of dirty feet would have unleashed it. Personally, I'm not buying the embarrassing press release angle. Sounds more a liberal casting aspersions on a conservative candidate at an opportune moment. LizMair who?

I don’t understand how a guy can beat the Union machine can drop out of the presidential race so soon.
=============================================*========
Because he was circling the bowl. He was successful in Wisconsin with the labor issue and obviously was popular to be elected three times in four years. But He was a one trick pony. Good Governor, no doubt, but totally a dud when it came to charisma. His positions, when he did not stumble over himself, were weak and scripted...no passion or leadership. He either had terrible advisors or he just wasn’t ready for prime time national politics. He always was playing catch up including launching his campaign late. He also was being measured to the Trump phenomena. That’s a tough standard for any candidate. And until the GOPe figures it out, its going to be a rough road for them.

it’s because he lacks foresight, strategic planning, fiscal responsibility and the high school diploma he possesses.

If he came to my door, I'd think he was a Mormon Missionary - sans skinny black tie.

"Have you ever heard of the Book of Mormon?"

Agree...we are news junkies here and can tell one from far away. Trump is certainly one - and you need to be one, in order to fully develop your positions, since otherwise you have to be robotic, like Carla, and just keep running back to your talking points.

Money. With so many candidates there is only so much to go around. But I would have picked Huckabee or Graham or Kasich or pick-another-name to have dropped out by now. Not Walker.

Unfortunately, Walker didn’t appear on POTUS radar, and that’s okay. He is still a vital asset to liberty.

“Holy cow,” Senator Ted Cruz (R., Texas) replied when he learned that Walker plans to end his bid for the White House.”

Thanks for the perspective on the political consulting industry wrecking campaigns. My take is that a candidate who defaults to the operations management of a campaign by hired consultants isn’t a fit candidate for office to begin with. It’s like he’s an empty suit who acts like a robot at the direction of these hired phonies.

I want an office holder who actually runs the campaign. He gives the orders, he sets the direction, the staff carries them out. A staffer who wants to pursue their own agenda needs to go somewhere else. Most of the time, we hear about campaign staff leaving after a tiff, but it’s rarely a tiff with the candidate, it’s a tiff with the other consultants.

Reminds me of the Nazi bureaucrats down in the bunker squabbling over scraps of rotten meat on the carcass of Hitler’s Third Reich.

Disagree there. Not everybody has the same skill sets. What makes a great legislator isn't the same set as a great administrator. What makes a great campaigner isn't the same as a great leader. Just because the candidate is lacking in one respect doesn't mean that he or she is deficient in the others. WE are responsible for transforming the party (if that's the goal). WE are responsible for a great organization. WE are responsible for campaigns. Such skills can be learned and the Leadership Institute does a great job of teaching it at a very respectable price. Reagan's greatest skill was getting the grass roots to do that job.

Don't put that all on a candidate. You will disqualify many an able representative that way. This is about SELF GOVERNMENT. We have to do our part too. Among us are great administrators and communicators. Volunteer.

>> “He won a lot of points with his frank admission that Islam is not compatible with the Constitution.” <<

Carson didn’t need to do that, we already knew where he was on those issues, and in doing so, he provided them with another potential wedge to crack his armor.

Answering the MSM’s gotcha questions is a very bad habit, that apparently only Cruz is wise enough to avoid.
