Top Tea Partier laments Trump, GOP 'circular firing squad'(Team Randmesty hits Trump, Cruz)
Washington Examiner ^ | 10/4/15 | David M. Drucker

During a brief, little-noticed speech in May, Rep. Mick Mulvaney implored Republican presidential contenders and their supporters to stop tailoring their rhetoric to satisfy true believers and instead prioritize expanding the conservative tent.

(SNIP)

This concern was clearly influential in his decision to endorse Paul. Comparing the Kentucky senator with rival Republican contender Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Mulvaney had this to say in an interview with the Associated Press: "Ted is not bringing anybody new into the party. Rand is."

Mr. Mulvaney convened a town-hall meeting in this country town on the troublesome issue of immigration, with an audience of Latinos. He held forth for an hour, parsing policy and answering questions about the prospects for immigration legislation in the House — entirely in Spanish.

Even more surprising to the spellbound crowd at the First Baptist Church, Mr. Mulvaney said he and other conservative House Republicans were open to some kind of legal status, although not a path to citizenship, for many immigrants living in the country illegally.

“Absolutely,” Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC) told Breitbart News, “I have been talking about immigration with my colleagues for months. Talking about important issues is part of my job.”

Giving legal status is a foot in the door to an ACLU lawsuit. Then a liberal judge can give them full citizenship.

RINOs want to import cheap labor.

Rick Mulvaney is South Carolina’s Linda Grahamamnesty Mini-Me.

He might take note that his Senate’s colleague pro-amnesty stand has garnered him exactly 0% in Republican primary national polls.

He is running for the Mexican Congress?

"Ted is not bringing anybody new into the party. Rand is."

Rand isn't bringing anybody new into the party, and at 1% in the polls, Rand's natural constituents are more likely gravitating back to Bernie the Red. RP actually loses votes for the Rs.

Neither is Graham whose pro-amnesty position is not popular with the base.

RINOs don’t get it.

“Expanding the conservative tent” is a euphemism for watering down beliefs and carrying the liberals’ water for them.

Oh wait - they’re already doing that in the Washington.

Mulvaney is a clueless idiot.

“Giving legal status is a foot in the door to an ACLU lawsuit. Then a liberal judge can give them full citizenship.”

That is 100 PERCENT TRUE. Virtually all Democrat-appointed judges, along with many Republican-appointed judges are simply waiting for Congress to OPEN THE DOOR a crack...and they jump in.

And by the way, a 91% conservative score by Heritage is NOT very good for a Republican from a deeply conservative state...and he’s showing it.

Mulvaney is going to go the way of Eric Cantor... once his constituents understand where he stands.

They really live in a bubble in the Beltway.

Yup. They’re forced to speak in code because they know the American people don’t want amnesty.

They’re liars, crooks and dirty rotten scoundrels.

The article also says that Romney got 59% of the WHITE VOTE.

Whites are still 70% of the electorate. Does ANY Republican leader give a crap as to why a Republican can barely get a majority of them? They don’t, because they know the answer will fit-in COMPLETELY with Trump’s policies, which is the LAST THING they want (in fact they prefer a Democrat president to Trump winning).

Whites will always have some sub-classes that will vote Democrat, like gays and man-hating feminists, but 80 PERCENT (or so) of whites are not in those classes. But many of them need A REASON to vote Republican. Trump is giving them that reason, as in getting Illegals out, so Americans can go back to work, keeping factories in the US, etc.

To me, Trump sounds like he’s EXPANDING THE PARTY. Paul’s two greatest attempts in that area are giving FELONS the right to vote, and giving CREDIBILITY to those who say Voter ID is racist. For some reason I have a problem seeing how that helps Republicans win elections.

“Mulvaney is a clueless idiot”, who is so concerned that the peons, aka the voters, dare to think for themselves and vote for who they believe will help America, not the beltway party.

Oh yeah, I'm sure that's what was influential.
Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"
I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.

Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

Rand needs to stop lying and admit he is no conservative or a republican. He is using the party to spread his liberaltarian views , because his own party would never stand a chance or winning .
