I’d go Gowdy, but he went wobbly on immigration to a Lindsey Graham extent, as did Chavetz, or did he change it from Chavez? I’d consider Newt, but he’s aged now like McConnell & may not have the drive. Leaves Daniel Webster & I hope he lives up to the name.

Gowdy will refuse the nomination, as he has refused all other attempts to get him in the Speakers Seat. Same with Jim Jordan. Look over here, far to your right: Newt Gingrich stands tanned, rested and ready to serve. I say let him do it. Paul Ryan does not want it, although his father figure of Mitt Romney may convince him to take it as an interim position, until after the Nov. 2016 elections. Mitt and Ann are clever, and know what buttons to press.
I hope Paul stays out of it. He is no different than the rest of “The Young Guns” wanting legal status for illegals.
