Syria Rebels Plan Suicide Attacks on Russians

The Homs Liberation Movement, a Free Syrian Army faction close to al Qaeda, plans to infiltrate the Syrian military to find where the Russians are—and blow them up.

After more than a week of Russian aerial attacks, Syrian rebels plan to hit back with double agents and suicide bombers.

“First, we will endure the violent aerial bombardment, then move to weaken Russia by all means available, such as recruiting agents in the ranks of the regime to provide us with the movements of the Russians and the regime,” Capt. Rashid al-Hourani, from the rebel Homs Liberation Movement, told The Daily Beast by telephone.

The Homs Liberation Movement — a division of the U.S.-backed Free Syrian Army — seems ready to use tactics associated with ISIS. “We will conduct martyrdom operations carried out by dissident officers,” al-Hourani said, using a euphemism for suicide attacks.

More Obama backed terrorists checking in. The Russians need to rubblize whole areas of Syria or use a neutron bomb.

I doubt if the Russians will let them get that close.

I predict none get through

I think the Russians are no where near being as "controlled" as WE are by ROE and other et cetera's

Rookie Russian: "Ivanovich! Syrian truck headed this way at high speed! What is ROE?"
Partner: "ROE? What the #$^! is ROE?"
Rookie: "Rules of Engagement?"
Partner: "Oh, that." [fires weapon, blows up truck]

Rooskies will wipe out whole towns if they are IED or suicided. Cluster bombs are indeed accurate in retaliation strikes. Russians don’t have ROE handcuffs. They don’t listen to lawyers who never wore a uniform.

Yeah, I just see the moderates blowing themselves up. Right sure. Then again, those 8 or 9 recruited fighters we paid like 500 million to gather may actually be on some kind of mind control so perhaps they will find 8 or 9 bombers. My guess is if they get within 100 yrds of any Ruskie position, they will become history.

Are the DC crowd still living under the fantasy that it wasn’t the “moderates” the US enabled that used chemical weapons?

If the terrorists are serious, they will try to go after the airfield near Latakia, where most of the Russian aircraft are based. However, the airbase is in a region that is very secure (by Syrian standards) and those Russian troops have been deployed to provide a layered defense.

Blowing up some of those aircraft would certainly get the world’s attention. But the groups contemplating the attacks are undermanned, poorly equipped and lack effective leadership. The odds of them infiltrating Latakia and conducting a successful op are pretty slim.

The Russian bases are behind Alawite and Syrian Christian lines.

The only people in the region capable of mounting such an attack would be the Israelis and they seem to have sided with the Russians in this conflict.

The troops that remain backing Assad are pretty loyal, I have read. Not as easy to infiltrate as the other messes.

I still can’t believe we have a president whose main goal is the takeover of the Middle East by the likes of ISIS, MB etc.

what a piece of garbage.
