Everywhere I go, I find conservatives complaining. They complain about what John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have done, or rather failed to do, with the GOP majority in Congress. They complain about the GOP's utter failure to confront Obama's treasonous foreign and national security policies. They complain about the party's failure to call Obama to account for his dictatorial edicts on immigration. They complain about the party's betrayal of its purported commitment to budgetary and fiscal discipline. They complain about the party's failure to hold anyone accountable for the continual assaults judges, justices, and Executive branch officials are launching against the U.S. Constitution every day. They complain about the GOP's surrender of the responsibilities and prerogatives of the U.S. Congress.

Exactly what I have been thinking for some time, but much better articulated than anything I could say. Thank you for posting this.
I like Alan Keyes, but man, when you start off an article quoting yourself, from a blog post you made that maybe a dozen people read, well, you need to take a step back!

Speak up, lose your job.
Speak up, get sued.
Speak up, and the government jails you for a “hate” crime.
Speak up, get destroyed by the MSM.
Speak up, get jailed for being a bigot or some -phobe.
It will only end when Americans have nothing left to lose, and even then, it may be too late.
Keep in mind that in a lot of these articles on political websites, the author is just a contributor over which the editor of the site can add or subtract elements. It’s entirely possible that a website editor added this opening quote without Keyes’ permission or knowledge.
Not saying that is the case, but it’s possible.

I remember voting for Alan in the 2000 primary. If only...
Too many people take the ‘render unto Ceasar what is Ceasars’ way too far- we just say “Oh well, there’s nothing we can do” when our rights are being taken away by a ‘sovereign government’
The problem is no one is willing to go to prison for refusing to comply- Daniel Shadrach and Meshack and Abednigo didn’t comply- and they went to their ‘death’ for refusing (But God intervened)
Our forefathers NEVER would have let the left get ot the point of lawlessness they are at now- there would have been bloodshed- and the left would have been shamed into dropping their bid to pervert morality and common sense-
The left have been perverting our country’s morals little by little, in dribs and drabs, knowing they can’t get away with it all at once- and people just keep steadily losing hteir rights , and unfortunately when doen this way- people are more willing to put yup with it than if it was tried all at once-
The reason it’s put up with is because people think “It won’t get much worse” and “They can’t take everything away”, asnd so we don’t do anything about it-
Many say they will, but no one ever really does- Noone wants to be the first martyrs - no one wants to be the first victims- Everyone is looking for Kim Davises to ‘lead the charge’, and are unwilling ot get involved if they think it’s just going to fizzle out and not accomplish much
The best lies are 99% true.
I had a similar experience with a friend whose grandmother was visiting from Yugoslavia back in the early 80s. We took her to the local megamart and when we walked in she literally burst into tears.She didn’t speak much English so I asked what she was saying.
“Lies...all lies” she kept repeating over and over.
It was eye opening.

Right after WWII, one of the vets in my neighborhood told me that, near the end of the war when he was escorting German prisoners to a compound, a massive flight of 100s of B-17s flew overhead. One of the Germans looked up and sneered "Propaganda!".

Sure, I suppose it’s possible, but I could see Keyes doing it too.
I really do like Keyes, but he’s a bit quirky like that. Probably why he could never get any traction when he ran for office.
