Heres a look at how the five Democratic presidential candidates performed in Tuesdays debate at the Wynn Las Vegas resort-casino.
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Standing center stage, Clinton went on offense against Bernie Sanders over his views of the economy and record on gun control. She had to defend her shifting views of the Keystone XL oil pipeline and the Trans-Pacific Partnership. But questions about her private email server ended with a shared laugh with Sanders.

An online poll.
“Virginia poll says Bernie won the debate, not Hillary.”
No bias by that writer right?
It looks like we have another criminal poised to be the next President.
God, deliver us from an evil government!
Bernie’s “Gift” was a kiss on the end of a clenched fist.
They're meaningless at this point, anyway.
Hillary did not win the debate. She tried to monopolize the debate is more like it and she ignored pointed questions and the email scandal and tried to change the subject by tossing out a litany of boring policy ideas. She looked and acted shifty. She glared like a demon possessed straight at other condidates while they were criticizing her. She looked needy and desperate. Sanders gained more by dismissing the email scandal than Hillary gained.
The public lost, of course, since the Democrats now seem to think questions about honesty and trustworthiness are not real issues. Also, Sanders’ comment seems like it was set up ahead of the debate by CNN and Sanders and Hillary. Hillary extended her hand and smiled like the cat that ate the canary when Sanders made his email comment.
At least this election season hasn't been boring so far
The debate auience were clapping seals for Hellary giving the appearance she was more loved up there than anyone else. I think the press is fawning over her as well.
When I saw Sanders turn to Clinton and preface his comment with a "political disclaimer" and then proclaim that "the American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails.", I shouted out an "ata boy, Bernie" for having the cajones to tell the Mob Boss to clean up her act and make the email scandal go away. He wasn't admonishing the press, he was telling Clinton to clean up her act. Clinton, as a person skilled and practiced in criminal evasion deflected the comment by pivoting it to the press. I do believe that even Bernie was surprised and momentarily stupefied when she reached out to shake his hand in a show of appreciation. She took an admonition and turned it into a triumph!
