He is- maybe was- promoting a nuclear exchange between Israel and Iran which, optimally for him, would take out both as Iran would launch missiles against Tel Aviv and maybe Haifa and the IDF would simply glassify much of Iran in retaliation. Russian intervention probably throws a wrench into that plan and what happens now is going to be something different.

I’m pretty certain that Russia would not define their experience in Afghanistan as a success.

And I would agree with them. We certainly helped tilt the outcome with money, weapons, and training of insurgents. The hand held anti-aircraft missiles were very effective against Soviet helicopters.

As for Iran, They have had nothing but success since before Obama came to office,

I don't consider the Iran-Iraq war to be a major success. Thanks to the sanctions, their economy has been in the doldrums and they have been suffering a brain drain for decades. Their total fertility rate of 1.83 children born/woman (2015 est.) is below replacement level.

The US had all the leverage when negotiating against Iran and failed to use it. The agreement now makes Iran the dominant power in the region save for Israel. The Iranian involvement in Syria does not bode well for our interests and allies in the region, especially for Saudi Arabia and Israel. A larger conflict is coming,

I think you are giving Obama too much credit for brain power. He is a legitimate idiot.

You of course are correct that Iran and Iraq war was a disaster for Iran, but that was four decades ago.

Iran has a significantly younger age demographic than we do as they have more than half their population under age 35 and over 45% under 30. It is true that their birth rate has fallen off a cliff since 2000 and is below replacement at 1.9%, but ours has been at or below replacement rate at since 1973 at 2.1% or lower. It is presently at an all time low of 1.87% and falling. For white Americans, the most economically successful race of Americans, the birth rate is below 1.7%. A disaster for America's future.

Iran has a net migration rate of minus 0.07 migrants /1000 population compared to our plus 3.86. We don't have a population problem. In 1970 we had a population of 203 million compared to 320 million today. The nation’s total population would cross the 400 million mark in 2051, reaching 420.3 million in 2060. These numbers will go much higher if we have an amnesty and/or something like the Gang of 8 bill passes. Right now we take in 1.1 million LEGAL PERMANENT IMMIGRANTS A YEAR. Since 1990 over 35 million legal immigrants have entered this country. This is equivalent to the population of Canada.

I’m not sure our immigration rate is a net positive for our economic or cultural health, do you?

If our immigrants where a majority highly educated European or Asian it would be different. A vast majority of our immigrants, legal and otherwise, are among the lowest educated and least literate in the World. Most are from peasant cultures who do not respect education or our culture.

Given the fact that one in five Americans speak a language other than English in their homes and one in seven are foreign born, we most certainly have a cultural problem if not a population problem.

We are importing the million people a year we are aborting. We are importing illiterates welfare recipients and contracepting & aborting future tax payers who are native tongued English speakers. The numbers of welfare recipients shows that a vast majority of Immigrants legal and illegal are welfare cases where as a minority of native born Americans are not on welfare. Including native born.

So would we be better off with a flat population rate or an increasing population where a vast majority of the increase are illiterate welfare recipients?

The Russians have been in two shooting wars in Georgia and 1 war in Chechnya, or the other way around, since Afghanistan.

Absolutely not. I have been working nine years in a grassroots immigration organization that lobbies on the Hill. We need to drastically reduce legal immigration and force out illegal aliens via attrition thru enforcement. When the history of the rise and fall of America is written, historians will point to the 1965 Immigration Act as the source of our downfall.

You are speaking to the choir. We are importing poverty and we are bringing in too many legal immigrants. We have a surplus of labor and in that regard, it doesn't matter if they come from Europe or Asia. Since 2000 we have brought in two immigrants for every job created.

Yeah we forgot that the Soviets were a superpower. Now it appears that Russia is finally getting their act together and they’re retiring to their rightful place as a great power

Russian birth rate was 1.1 and they were losing around 500,000 people a year. They came a long way since then.

This will invoke the strongly worded letter clause of the UN.
