Folks, there are really no downsides to electing lesser evils. Really!
I heard this on Levin’s show and I let out a very long string of F-Words....
My dead grandmother was blushing...
Dump this guy now before it is too late. He is going to be worse than the doofus he is replacing.
How about a rule change where GOPers like Meadows who vote against leadership on “The Rule” or whatever are not punished? Ryan wants concessions but he won’t give up that iron fist in a million years. He’s a total fraud.
ALL this mofo has to say is “NO MORE DEBT CEILING INCREASE!!” and no DAMNED AMNESTY!!
Nobody steps up. Ryan sucks as bad as Boehner but we can not get one decent conservative to enter the ring. Remarkable.
I have to agree with Paul RyNO on this one.
It should be far easier to vacate the chair, especially if it’s occupied by a traitor like him.
“Vacate the chair” basically means that the members can decide to temporarily remove the Speaker. I don’t see how this means unlimited power for the Speaker. I think it’s a good idea, since some of our Speakers have been completely dead wood and have prevented good initiatives from going forward.
Agreed. This is trouble with a capital T.
Maybe the reason that nobody to this point is stepping up is to have the establishment keep putting up their choices like in a shooting gallery at a carnival. Sooner or later, they are going to run out of them. I am beginning to think this is all orchestrated to keep Boehnor right where he is on default. If they can’t replace him, then why does he need to go.
Remember, the Freedom Caucus is just that and does not have the votes to support anyone the establishment wouldn’t consider.
Waanabe king tut.
This doesn’t sound good, but it will happen if someone doesn’t come up with something better. A Speaker is required.
Somehow I doubt Ryan’s idea of rule changes are the same as the Freedom Caucus. :-)
And Obama should get a 3rd term if he manages to twist the system and we don't have our top guy out there.
There are downsides to most things in life - choosing to allow the worst isn't an upside.
The Freedom Caucus has its own problems, such as backing this guy for the next Speaker:
