It’s almost as if Ryan doesn’t want to be the speaker.
The situation is starting to remind me of the Algore vote scheme in Florida during the 2000 election. They would keep counting until Gore won.
Similarly, the GOPe won’t hold the actual speaker election until it can assure that one of its stooges would win.

Those conditions include a request that the House eliminate a rule that allows a member to seek a vote to oust the speaker. The scumbags really want power, don't they?
After we put them down, next we need to remove the restraint of holding the House to 435 representatives. Proportionally, as the Founders intended, we should have about 30,200 Representatives by now. That number could never be controlled by a single dictator of a Speaker. Again, as the Founders intended.
