Chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi Trey Gowdy wasted no words while explaining clearly and convincingly the purpose of the committee’s investigation and the reason former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was called to testify on Thursday.
“Madame Secretary, I understand some people — frankly in both parties — have suggested this investigation is about you,” Gowdy said in his opening statement. “Let me assure you it is not. And let me assure you why it is not. This work is about something much more important than any single person. It is about four U.S. government workers, including our Ambassador, murdered by terrorists on foreign soil. It is about what happened before, during, and after the attacks that killed these four men.”
The chairman was clearly seeking to refocus the public’s attention on why the committee was established following Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s gaffe late last month, which Hillary Clinton and supporters used to argue the Republicans are mainly seeking to hurt her presidential bid through the investigation.
“Not a single member of this Committee signed up for an investigation into you or your email system. We signed up because we wanted to honor the service and sacrifice of four people sent to a foreign land to represent us – who were killed – and do everything we can to prevent it from happening to others,” he said.

Gowdy’s opening statement was brilliant.
Checkout Sundance at The Conservative Treehouse...he predicted this was all for naught. The congress is too invested in the whole Libya thing. Too many people agreed with what was going on there. Sundance has written a long article about this. He is brilliant and it’s worth reading.
The fact that she is not already in jail in light of all thats known to date shows you this is a dog and pony show.
Gowdy allowed her and her lawyers to stall, set conditions and all the rest. He allowed members of his committee to run around trashing it and obviously proving they were biased.
Someone tell me why all those democrats were not thrown off that committee, beginning with Cummings. Tell me why Gowdy ALLOWED any of that?

No one will “kill” her, because the only way to “kill” her would be to kill her. Our side is not in the domestic assassination business, for which I thank God.

Obama and Clinton had permission from Congress to sell weapons to Al-qaida. That means that Republicans were in on it.
What Gowdy seems to be going after is the “cover-up”. That, folks, is what caused the down-fall of Richard Nixon.
Whassup with that sign in front of her that says “HON CLINTON”? Nothing Honorable about her, and she sure as hell isn’t anyones “honey”...
The purpose of the Benghazi mission: We already KNOW the mission. It was to secretly execute a NATO (not US military alone) program to ship 167 tractor-trailer loads of Libyan weapons liberated from the regime of the fallen Muammar Gaddafi from Benghazi overland to the port city of Derna. There they were loaded aboard ships and transported to Turkey, for overland transport to the enemies of Bashar Assad, namely the Free Syrian Army. Along the way, we arrested and interrogated a bunch of Iranian spies masquerading in Libya as Red Crescent workers. That pissed off Iran, so they organized the attack on the CIA outpost in retaliation using local pro-Gaddafi veterans led by the Iran’s Qud Force operatives.
Do not EVER underestimate Iran’s thirst for vengeance. Remember, they shot down TWA Flight 800 in 1996, in retaliation for our shooting down of their passenger airliner Iran Air Flight 655 by the USS Vincennes in 1988, which had been exchanging gunfire with Iranian ships in the area. The Congressional inquiry is disinformation aimed at distracting the American people from the truth. You see, both the House AND the Senate leadership were behind the NATO plan, along with the Obama Administration, to ship the captured weapons to Assad’s enemies. When the whole thing blew up in their faces, it had to be covered up. Hence the whole fiction with the video that anyone could see was a blatant lie. You probably have not heard that during the Vietnam war, the Lyndon Johnson White House routinely gave to the North Vietnamese, via the Swiss Embassy, the lists of the next day’s bombing targets, “So they could evacuate the target areas and no civilians would be killed or injured”. THE CONSEQUENCE: Scores of US flyers were shot down as a result, ending up in the Hanoi Hilton, if they even lived, as the NVA would have absolutely re-deployed its anti-aircraft artillery batteries and surface-to-air missiles to the new target areas! But that was all SUCCESSFULLY covered up!

Anyway.. if she EVER handled questions PROPERLY and SATISFACTORILY... there would BE NO investigation
