National Chamber of Commerce to target the GOP right in 2016
Christian Science Monitor article posted on American Thinker ^ | 10/24/2015 | Rick Moran

Chamber of Commerce president Thomas Donohue told business leaders that the organization was prepared to spend up to $100 million to help Republicans keep their House and Senate majorities.  But he also indicated that the CoC would oppose Tea Party supporters in the House, like members of the House Freedom Caucus.

Donohue made clear that part of the Chamber’s election efforts will be aimed at countering the influence of hard-line legislators like members of the House Freedom Caucus, who have not supported the Chamber’s legislative agenda. That agenda includes immigration reform, reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank, and finding a consistent funding source for spending on highways.

“When the tea party was first formed and they had four or five principles of sound economics, reasonable taxation … I mean who can be opposed to that?” Donohue said. “But it has gone far beyond that to the point that it has lost sight of what the fundamental reality is, and that is to govern in a way to create economic growth and to create jobs.”

Those on the other side of the debate see their battle with the Chamber as part of “the conflict between free markets and cronyism.” That is how David Boaz, executive vice president of the libertarian Cato Institute framed the issue in a recent opinion piece in the Washington Times. He added that “the long conflict between pro-market and pro-business forces may lead to some divisive Republican primaries this year.”

Only some tea partyers will be vulnerable in primaries in the 2016 election, says Bruce Josten, the Chamber’s executive vice president for government affairs, who also spoke at the breakfast. “Some of the tea party members … I would have to say are fairly entrenched.

This is good. The snakes are coming out of their holes into the open where we can now chop their heads off. This proves being more meaner , firmer and disrupting the establishment is working.
The snakes will become violent and slither more before we are all safe.

As in oppose those that support the Constitution and an accountable government that follows the rule of law? Yeah I think I DO understand why the CoC opposes the Loretta Bobbins of Liberty and Justice for All...

Small businesses need to be boycotted if they are Chamber members. The National CoC is a cut of a different sort of animal, but they are propped up by small operator chambers of commerce, around the country.

Their needs to be a business push back, against the National. They are feeding off of us and what are we doing to stop it?

Nothing.

...and the Freedom Caucus just endorsed one of the biggest CoC supporters for the position of Speaker.

Awesome. Email Jim Jordan to thank him for his contributions to the conservative cause.

I hope the next president has the Justice Department investigate him for treason.

U.S. Chamber Comments on USCIS’ Proposed Guidance on L-1B Classification for Intracompany Transfers - March 25, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C.— U.S. Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice President of Labor, Immigration, and Employee Benefits Randel K. Johnson issued the following statement today on the new proposed guidance from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to bring consistency to the L-1B classification for intracompany transfers:

“Developing updated guidance for L-1B specialized knowledge adjudications has been on the agency’s agenda for more than three years, and the Chamber has long thought that such clarification is sensible. In a 21st century economy intracompany transfers are an inherent part of promoting job growth and innovation here in the United States.

“For more than forty years, a cornerstone of business operations for those that do business both in the United States and abroad has been the ability to transfer managers, executives, and specialized knowledge personnel across national boundaries in order to harmonize operations, expand markets, service clients, and share knowledge. However, it has become increasingly difficult for companies to procure visas to transfer their existing specialized knowledge employees to the United States to continue work on products, services, and projects.

“We are particularly pleased to see the guidance proposal reiterate that the burden of proof is the preponderance of the evidence standard and that the agency must give deference to its prior decisions. The Chamber will look carefully at the proposal before participating in the public feedback process, and looks forward to a final policy memorandum regarding the L-1B classification for specialized knowledge employees that, if implemented properly, would bring much needed modernization along with consistency in decision-making.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.

IMMIGRATION REFORMS NEEDED TO PROTECT SKILLED AMERICAN WORKERS - March 17, 2015

Conservatives now need to be crystal clear that after this effort, the gloves come off.

“Ceterum censeo, delenda est Chamber of Commerce.”

“In my opinion, the Chamber of Commerce must be destroyed.”

We need to send them the message that they no longer represent American values, American patriotism, or what is best for our nation and its people. Instead they are acting as our national enemies, seeking to undermine our economy, government and constitution. As such, their membership must be on notice that they will be denied access to US markets, and even their corporate charters may be forfeit.

They are now betting $100 million against America. If they lose, it may cost them hundreds of billions of dollars, and perhaps effectively end them as corporations.

Send a message. A nationally organized boycott of every business that is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Squeeze ‘em where it hurts.

To the Chamber of Commerce, my family will boycott your stores and businesses. If it is a war you want it is a war you will get.

Exactly. $100 million?? Where are they getting that kind of money. From their customers ultimately.

We are funding our own demise unless we change our spending habits.

So they're going to target conservative Republicans up for re-election and then expect the voters of those Republicans to come out and vote for their open-borders RINO squish in the general.

Oooooohkay.

The $100 million is to elect Republicans. A small portion of that is going to primary conservatives.

“It may cost them hundreds of billions of dollars”

Oh, but this won’t cost them. Their members pay them and WTP do business with the members. In reality, it would be WTP’s hard earned cash that would pay the piper. Government, CofC , it will always be WTP whose money is being used to determine how WTP should be brainwashed into thinking...or not thinking as the case may be. No matter how much is spent...it makes no difference, the elites are always quite willing to deal out the cash to keep the markers they have earned.
