I don't particularly want to know any more about it. It never appealed to me, fortunately, as I've been taken in (briefly) by other oddities/heresies, maybe still need some refining of my faith.

According to what I can get from the internet, he is a member of the Marble Collegiate Church, which is a part of the Reformed Church in America. That is a Presbyterian denomination that is more conservative than the PCUSA, but not as conservative as the Presbyterian Church in America.
SDA are ok with me but Carson is very problematic

No. Just tired of the hatred by some here on FR.
Hence the advice about growing thick skin.
I would magine that most of said "hatred" is shared among many of us who think Trump is a viable candidate and not directed at you because of who you present as. Consider the irony of your conservative stances, yet you use your identity to advertise both race and sex - both hot-button issues for the Left Wing as they leverage sex and race to the hilt.
One last bit of advice - in my 39 years (24 as a NCO/Senior NCO and 15 as a civilian in a supervisory capacity) I worked with and for many officers. Those who wore their emotions on their sleeves were not fun to work for and did not command personal respect - what they got was respect for the clothing and insignia because of professional courtesy. They were considered immature and inconsistent because they could not put their emotions aside long enough to stay objective. They threw hissy fits and became visibly angry instead of "putting on the professional face".
RHIP but it also hath its responsibilities to those above/beside/below the one with rank.
Sorry if that further irritated you, but a good NCO will speak frankly to those put in command over them.

I have a right to defend myself...and I will, appropriately. The hatred is aimed at me personally...nasty mail and responses. I’m going to keep doing what the Holy Spirit directs me to do. I am here to please God - not man.
