So if patriots elect Trump as president then they are also going to have to elect a new Congress that will legislatively support Trump.

Well, he will have a pen and a phone, too. But, that's not an optimal path for the Republic, going forward.

Virtually ALL of DC (including a lot of conservative geniuses inside the Beltway) are aghast at this move by Trump. I think it’s beyond fascinating. Trump keeps telling us that he’s a talented negotiator – here’s his chance to SHOW what that means, in real time. I think he’s saying “Watch and learn.” It’s a live high-wire act and NO ONE can predict the outcome.

This is the kind of stuff that makes it more likely that your 30% support will remains pretty close to that even after everyone else is gone.

I wonder if Cruz didn’t go to the meeting because running mate signaled he was going to reject the deal.

“But I do not think that low-information Trump understands that corrupt Congress can make him a lame-duck president from his first day in office.”

Last year, Obama lost the Congressional election by a landslide; then he made the Congress lame-duck the next day.

He's their boy. They give him all the free air time he wants, unlike the proven conservatives. All he has to do is put up malleable promises, like a fence with a beautiful door, for "the good ones."

How many "good ones" Donald?

If he looks to narrow the field, he could create a critical mass to oppose him.

What do you mean cannot predict outcome?

Trump has a very successful history of being a skilled businessman.

I think I get it from you,

You would rather have political hacks lie to you,
than actually have a rare person with the skills to change things.

From what I heard, Corey Lewandowsky didn't like the conclusion reached at the meeting and advised Trump to go it on his own directly with the networks.

Trump will invite the participation of the others but believes he can get a better deal for everyone involved.

Indeed.

I think Trump failed to get the elected LEADER designation from the group so he just declared it himself. Some call that leadership. To others it could easily look more like a Hissy Fit.

Am I the only one predicting that this will not turn out well for Trump?

Trump will be fine.

The network will ask for three hours.

Trump will demand and get two hours.

And the people will rejoice because the shortened debate will have a lower amount of information.

Besides, didn't the last debate that he negotiated turn out great?

The moderators for example?

“Patriots, Trump is used to being the boss. But I do not think that low-information Trump understands that corrupt Congress can make him a lame-duck president from his first day in office. So if patriots elect Trump as president then they are also going to have to elect a new Congress that will legislatively support Trump.”

I see it completely differently. Trump is anything but low information. It is the GOPe who are self-coinvinced that they can “manage” a Trump Presidency, but it is they who are in for a surprise. Just look at how the moron half-breed has “bested” the GOPe. If the GOPe tries to take on Trump, he will have their “mirkins” on the wall of the Oval Office before the sun sets. I will bet that Trump is already accumulating what he needs by way of “information” on each and every member of Congress, and I would imagine that he would use it effectively.

I have never understood why the RNC would kowtow to the lousy moderators. Put Levin on a panel.

What evidence can you point to as a basis for that conclusion?

It's about time!

The only negotiations should be on how much the networks are gonna pay for a feed. That's it! They should be cut out entirely!

Trump got a better deal in the CNBC debate farce by limiting the
liberals partisan questions to 2 hours instead of 3 hours of RAT
propaganda.
