Trump retains lead in Brietbart primary, but Cruz gets most post debate votes and surged to second place in October Breitbart primary voting. Cruz is currently in second place trailing Trump by 7 points in November Breitbart primary voting.

I’m glad to see this surge. Trump v. Hillary would be a comedy. Cruz would be able to beat Hillary convincingly and would be a fine president.

If this doesn’t get winnowed down to at most two conservatives before Super Tuesday the designated Gope gets the nomination.

Trump with Cruz as VP to provide Constitutional ballast is the best outcome I can think of. Several of the other conservative candidates should be in advisory positions in a Trump presidency. They should NOT be heads of things like EPA because those agencies should all be abolished immediately. as Civil Service laws are abolished with them.

I've sent money to the Cruz campaign. I'm happy with that, but I see Trump as president and Cruz as VP.
I'm a Cruz supporter that will probably vote for Trump in the POTUS position.

2015-11-04 : Political Prediction
Yeb Bush will "intelligently" REFUSE to exit the 2016 GOP Presidential Race until he is DEFEATED in the 2016 March 15 Florida Primary.
Period.
Why ?
Yeb Bush's political "ace in the hole" is the hopelessly corrupt Florida Republican Party ... the ones who redistricted the great Allen West out-of-office.
"Anything" can happen in a "New York Minute" in American politics.
Just ask Machiavelli, Abraham Lincoln, JFK, Bobby Kennedy, Vince Foster, Gary Hart, Buddy Holly, U.S. Senators Hale Boggs, Ted Stevens, and Paul Wellstone, Herman Cain ...
and Napoleon at Waterloo (who was winning the battle, and Wellington admitting defeat, as late as 5:00 PM in the afternoon).
Ninety-eight (98) GOP Convention delegates are at stake in Florida's "mas mucho rigged" state Presidential Primary (Winner take All).
That makes it more convenient for Yeb's GOPe Chamber of Commerce Political Whores (aka the Florida Republican Party) to hand Yeb 98 convention delegates on a silver platter.
Yeb Bush has absolutely NOTHING to lose by staying in the presidential race (anything can happen).
Is it a longshot ? Absolutely.
Has Karl Rove already planned for this scenario ? Absolutely.
Will Dr. Ben Carson endorse Yeb Bush when the good doctor is "finished" ? Absolutely.
As a romantic interest once told me ... "It's All About the Money" ... perfectly applicable to Yeb Bush, Ben Carson, and Karl Rove.

I suspect that FR actually would opt for Trump.

There’s a lot of campaigning left and there’s a lot to be said for having an incredible ground game and tons of cash to spend in the primary. I expect to vote for Cruz for POTUS if his plan comes together, which it looks like it is, although I will pull the lever for Trump if he is the nominee.

Like every election in recent past: A gazillion Conservatives vs. one Establishment dude. Conservatives split the vote; Establishment dude waltzes to the nomination. JUST DAMN!

Stop it. Cruz has no chance to beat Hillary. He is fine on many issues and not so good on several important ones. Cruz’s personality does not play well on a national stage. He comes off as scripted and insincere and like the kid in school who has all the answers and has been preparing for public office since the 6th grade. All true of Hillary as well but that’s why he won’t work. Trump on the other hand is a creator of things and despite his billions comes across as an Everyman. George W had it, Bill Clinton exhibited that and Reagan exhibited it the most of all. That’s why Trump will be President Trump in a little over a year.

Touche'. And I keep thinking about Hillary's head injury from her recent fall sometime back (prolly when she was drunk) and how there could be a delayed occurrence from that; like maybe a brain aneurysm about October 2016.....

They should NOT be heads of things like EPA because those agencies should all be abolished immediately.
As long as there is money for them in the budget, they have to stick around. A Sarah Palin type would be good at dismantling them, or perhaps finding creative ways to use their funding for legitimate purposes until a better budget comes in.
Howard Phillips was trying to dismantle Office of Economic Opportunity until Nixon decided not to break down the Great Society stuff. You could expect further pushback from Boll Weevil Republicans in the Congress.
