Take a bow Obama, Democrats: You're becoming this year's best gun sales team

Democrats and their anti-gun allies sure know how to sell firearms. Barack Obama probably should get an award. For the sixth month in a row, we've seen record gun sales (via Stephen Gutowski/Free Beacon):

The Federal Bureau of Investigation processed a record number of background checks in the month of October, indicating that gun sales were at an all time high for the sixth month in a row.

The FBI's National Instant Background Check System processed 1,976,759 firearms related checks in October. That is a 373,290 increase in checks over last year and a new record for the month. It also makes October the sixth consecutive month to see a record number of checks.

[...]

So far in 2015 the FBI has performed 17,584,346 firearms related checks. Currently, 2015 is on pace to beat 2013's record 21,09,273 checks.

This is probably because the president is calling for his supporters to politicize gun tragedies, and change the politics on Second Amendment issues. He called on Americans who think we have a gun violence epidemic in this country to do something about how to accomplish that. In other words, it's time to vote out pro-civil rights lawmakers, and get more anti-gun legislators elected into office.

Hillary Clinton said the Australian gun buyback program is "worth considering." The problem is that the Australian model is essentially a gun ban/confiscation. Obama also cited Australia, along with the United Kingdom's gun control laws, as examples that other countries have done something to curb gun violence in his remarks after the horrific Oregon shooting last month. Again, both countries virtually have banned firearms. That isn't going to happen here. With gun control now becoming a pet issue for Democrats on the campaign trail, Hillary Clinton said she could possibly circumvent Congress to expand background checks. Katie wrote yesterday about her new ad pushing for more gun control and corrected the awful statistics in it.

The irony is that liberals seem to get that the more they talk about gun control, the more people stock up on guns and ammo. President Obama mentioned this during his address to the International Association of Chiefs of Police in Chicago on October 28. The speech was mostly grounded in criminal justice reform, which both Democrats and Republicans are finding agreement on, but his last bit about gun control forced him to say that he isn't looking to confiscate guns in America. I take that as a sign that our side is winning. Anytime a liberal needs to preface their gun control drivel with a “we're not going to take your guns, we're for the Second Amendment, or we respect the rights of hunters," it means we've won in the court of public opinion. We've had a string of wins on the legal front since 2008's Heller decision, and I'm confident the needle on this issue isn't going to move in 2016.

So, take a bow Democrats, you've managed to keep your unconstitutional agenda stuck in the mud, while inadvertently becoming the best gun sales team so far this year.

Last Note: It goes without saying -- everything Obama said about gun violence during his Umpqua Community College shooting on October 1 was wrong.

There will be approximately 400 million guns in the hands of the people by the time that the queer Moslem Communist leaves office. http://gunwatch.blogspot.com/2015/09/us-will-reach-400-million-private.html

LET THEM try to confiscate - we’ll see how that works out.

Oh, just a reminder: the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which are well-understood to be the opening shots of the Revolutionary War, came about because the British Military Governor of Massachusetts tried to confiscate the militia armories in those 2 towns. That’s what Paul Revere rode around warning people about.

Just sayin’.

The Dem/libs have been engaging in a steady push to infringe on our right
to keep and bear arms for decades. And this is how it has been working out
for them in the last two decades...

And in the last two months... (Nov. 2012 and Dec. 2012)

And it continues...

And there is more...

And more...

And yet more...

And more and more and...

We just keep buyin' more...

KEEP FLAPPIN' YOUR LIPS, DEMOCRATS! WE'LL BUY MILLIONS MORE. ;-)

Oh, and another reminder: an attempt to violently enforce a suspected paperwork violation 22 years ago in Waco resulted in 248 dead in the attempt and retaliation.

Just sayin’.

It is much easier for the government to prevent you from getting a gun, than it is to take away a gun our already have.

Buy now. Buy now for yourself, your children and your grandchildren.

They don't care. This isn't about guns per se, it's about changing the country in a fundamental was to shift the attitudes of the populace to view guns as evil and dangerous and to view gun owners an perverted sick potential serial killers.

A lie repeated often enough gets believed, and our enemies in the MSM, the government bureaucracy, and law enforcement have been beating this drum for decades. Liberals always lie. But fools and lazy parasites who see government as a sugar daddy who will keep them in money without their ever having to do a lick of work believe the lie.

Bottom line is that a smaller and smaller percentage of americans (and illegal invaders who have absolutely no idea of what it means to be an America)think guns are a necessary part of our culture. The filth in the white hut has been very successful in transforming America and the cowards in the Republican party have done nothing to even slow him down.

It’s more than just guns. Bloomberg’s paid loonies went after Kroger. Kroger? Kroger?

Quickly Kroger’s number of customers increased. And the new customers were family types that buy more and more high profit margin items than average.

Since coming to GA, I consciously take notice of who has a bulge under their shirt that can only be concealed carry. I’ve seen an increase in both open and concealed carry at both Kroger and Walmart, especially with Black men and women.

This is reverse of Kmart. Remember Kmart? They hired a fat, ugly spokesperson and immediately went after guns.
On FR and nearly everywhere the pro-freedom people, including people like me who have never owned or fired a gun ever, boycotted Kmart. Kmart quickly went bankrupt. (Later it was bought out of bankruptcy by a real estate speculator).

JCPenney had a similar experience. Akmann bought it and immediately announced he was going to turn Penney’s into Abercrummy and Filth. Immediately the pro-family women stopped buying bedding and clothes there, not just for themselves, but for their grandchildren also. JCP quickly declined. Eventually Akmann had to sell at a big loss to himself.

Democracy is voting with our feet and pocket books every day. Those who don’t like the way we vote want to limit democracy to only voting for politicians. That is un-democratic and we need to expose it as such.

Some of the ones that didn't make it (my canned response to commenters calling gun owners "paranoid", purposely listing the proposals with no paragraphs for impact):

I love that "paranoia" meme you anti-gun people often come up with.

Month after month, year after year, gun owners are besieged with all kinds of crack-brained anti-gun laws proposed by the Democrats: $25 per firearm and 15c per round tax, $10,000 fine for failure to report a lost or stolen firearm, psychological exams for all gun buyers, an "arsenal license" if you have more that 1,000 rounds (two bricks of .22 ammo), license and/or fingerprint buyer of ammo, ban more than the purchase of one gun a month, three/seven/ten day “cooling off” period even in this day of instant background checks, "ballistic fingerprinting" of every firearm (as useful as “fingerprinting” car tires), ban small, cheap, easily concealed lightweight guns ("Saturday Night Specials"), no wait, ban large, expensive, cumbersome heavyweight long-range target rifles a la Quigley Down Under ("sniping rifles"), ban guns with pistol grips, ban guns with flash hiders, ban guns with bayonet lugs, ban eeevil-looking military look alike semi-autos, ban magazines that hold more than 10 rounds (7 in NY), ban hollow-point bullets ("Cop Killer" ammo), ban lead bullets, etc.,etc. Ban even those that were previously exempt such as C&R long guns (CA).

I could fill this whole page with this litany of lunacy. Then when the gun owners yell "Hey! Wait a minute!', the smug retort is "Oy, you guys are REALLY paranoid"

Here's some of the latest:
Connecticut Bill #122: Restrict All Gun Ownership to A Single Shot
Ban anyone under 12 from gun shows
Scan license plate tags of those attending gun shows
A special commission set up by Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy recommended prohibition of both the sale and possession of any firearm capable of holding 10 rounds or more with no provision to grandfather existing guns. It also calls for any shell casing for ammunition sold in the state have a serial number etched on it for tracing purposes. Plus, all firearms should be registered and ammunition buyers would be restricted to only the caliber chambered for their licensed guns.

“Buy now for your children and grandchildren”

Good advice but don’t forget the ammo. Prices are pretty reasonable currently.

Second gun, or second gun this year?
Either way, that's too few!

"Scan license plate tags of those attending gun shows"

Time to get a pair of Gonzales Flag license plates for front and rear, leave my real plates at home.
Use an old-fashioned throttle-return spring to hold a plate on and you can change plates in seconds...
