Hey, gang! We got a new special interest group demanding special rights, the FORMERLY INCARCERATED COMMUNITY! Complete with their own race cards with unlimited credit. Isn't that special?

They are discriminated against because they couldn’t follow the simple rules of society; don’t rape, don’t molest kids, don’t murder other people , don’t steal other people’s stuff, don’t sell harmful illegal drugs.
In other words, they are discriminated against because they are CRIMINALS.
I DON’T WANT RAPISTS, CHILD MOLESTERS, MURDERERS, THIEVES, OR DRUG DEALERS AROUND MY OR ANY KIDS.

Daryl Atkinson is an idiot. He should invite criminals to live at his house so he can make sure they aren’t “discriminated” against.

I think people who commit felonies, especially violent ones ought not be considered for certain employment. I don't think this should apply to misdemeanor offenses.

“Southern Coalition for Social Justice senior staff attorney Daryl Atkinson appeared Saturday as a guest on MSNBCâs âMelissa Harris-Perryâ to talk President Obamaâs executive order to âban the box,â which refers to the section on a job application for criminal history.”
So did he tell her that these people just want to “work hard”?
If you are in HR, I’ll just make quick use of a felon search online from now on.

hell, a LOT of HR simply look for gaps in employment history and throw out all those that have them.

Isn’t doing a felony search going to be a new act of discrimmination against the youts?

Friend of money owas several McDonald’s and did not get where he is by being stupid. He told me that from his experience most people turn to crime because they are lazy. Even if they they don’t commit more crimes they don’t work very hard either.

Now we have discrimination based on behavior as a bad thing.

Yep. Convicted criminals ARE rightly discriminated against. Imagine putting a convicted embezzler in charge of your organizations treasury.
To: Impala64ssa
I have a plan that will work:
African-Americans and Latinos can STOP committing crimes against the rest of us.. then we’ll stop seeing them as degenerates.

Too funny the biggest are sitting all across the spectrum of the federal organized crime agencies....and most here are worried about a felon or misdemeanor charge for a job in the private sector? ( I exclude murder/rape/drug sales)

I wholly disagree with that. As an ex-cop, ex security manager for a lot of state agencies, department store chains, trucking companies, etc. when I catch and prosecute someone, I have always asked the perp, “ Why did you do this? You had a job and things could have worked out.” Every time, the answer was “Because I can.” These people were not lazy, they just sought to get over on somebody, anybody and screwed themselves. Psychology, I guess.
