MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin â GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is releasing his policy plan to protect American workers and businesses from Chinaâs destructive currency manipulation and financial policies.
The move hints heâs planning to come out guns-a-blazing on trade policies at the Fox Business Network debate here in Milwaukee on Tuesday evening.
The hallmark of the plan is a tough guy approach only Trump can pull off with regard to dealing with China. Titled, âReforming The U.S.-China Trade Relationship To Make America Great Again,â the plan opens with an explanation of what Trump says caused America to start getting beat by China on the world stage in trade policy.
Under a section that details how âWashington Politicians Let China Off The Hook,â Trump puts much of the blame of former Secretary of State Hillary Clintonâs husband Bill Clinton and actions he took at the end of his administration.

Ted Cruz has G/S ties to via his wife...a Goldman Sachs exec.... Mrs Cruz served on the North American Union task force, and supported their report called---'Building a North American Community."
The effort was sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations in association with the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and the Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales.
Translated into English, that means forget US sovereignty....just eradicate US borders.
To be fair, Cruz renounced his Canadian citizenship....recently.
Nothing - it’s great. The thread of posts was about all the anti-Trumpets that show up and say that Trump has no specifics. I was saying they are ignoring or not reading his positions on his site.
Thanks for offering to help .
Your question is the first clue that you may not have enough information to contribute anything of value to this thread.
Go to Lurk mode until you are able to discern the answer to your question, the answer is very simple, so don't overanalyze things.
You are so right. Follow the money and everyone else is bought and paid for. We, the American people, are first only with Donald Trump.
With everyone else we are only the chumps to be deceived into voting for them so they can support their fat cat donors.
Thank you.
In three words âBlame America Firstâ?
More like blame America also. Can you not see that it is a case of the pot calling the kettle black? You can't really expect China to take our complaints about currency manipulation seriously when we engage in the very same thing. Hence my original question. What does Trump plan to do about our own currency manipulation?
LOL! That myth was pretty thoroughly debunked by former Fed chairman Arthur Burns.
Mere speculation on my part, based on how I think he operates.
The subject of currency manipulation is going to be a very key element of negotiations with any and all countries.
An agreement will be reached as to how, when, where, how much, such manipulations by either party occur.
It will be clearly spelled out so that there is no uncertainty on any point.
Penalties will be outlined.
Both parties will have the respect of the other side.
Negotiations will be done in a very tight time frame.
Our side will not be afraid to walk out if it is in our best interest to do so.
Trump, or his negotiators, will be unpredictable during these negotiations, and the other side will not be able to keep up.
We will get the better part of the deal.
Rock on!!!
Go Trump :)
Thanks
Yep
Currency manipulation will never be discussed in trade negotiations with China or any other country. It is one of the most powerful privileges any government has. It allows governments to spend money without having to ask for it from the citizenry. Our government will not give this power up and they aren't going to ask China to give it up either. China wouldn't do so in any case.
All this talk about currency manipulation and cheating on trade will disappear as soon as the election is over. What Trump may do is ask Congress to raise tariffs and start a tariff war with out most important trading partner.
That chart certainly bears out what Trump has been saying — the politicians who get elected are the ones who are the most for sale.
Thanks for the ping.
An honest Free Traitor is hard to find but i think I've found one.
I am not out of hand dismissing your answer.
The scenario you outlined has been with us for, well, forever.
The last few decades have illustrated the old ‘in-the-box’ strategies no longer work. Our commerce world has grown very quickly.
The illustration that Trump uses often, Caterpillar and Komatsu heavy equipment, is a real life situation of how the Japanese can outsell us with inferior product, even on Caterpillars home turf.
Tens of thousands of jobs lost, investors move elsewhere.
will the idea that we need to negotiate a more fair trade agreement with our foreign competitors sell?
To those out-of-work skilled machinists?
Currency manipulation is going to be a big part of the fix.
Out-of-the-box thinking on Trumps part is that it will sell, and work.
As you pointed out, it’s new thinking.
Yes, yes, I know it’s been bandied about for a long time by the professor types, and everyone has said it’s not workable.
The same guys said Trump wouldn’t submit his financials.
But there they were, on time.
So much for credibility.
This is going to work too.
We will probably see more info like this and more from Trump on the candidates owned and controlled by the GOPelites.
Charlie is an interesting guy and at time scary re contacts/info like you just posted.
Also, thanks to Trump, they are now discussing critical issues they were told not to really discuss or to lie about. Then, they get on the debate floors and either destroy themselves or start moving towards Donald. Jeb has self detructed in the debates and afterwards.
