No, I don’t have time to read every story out there... Most days, the best I can do is maybe 20-30 minutes on FR, if that, and maybe 20-30 minutes of local news at suppertime (usually 10 pm!).

One doesn’t have to “take out” the terrorist(s) or crazy. That’s ideal, of course. But even if one can only find a somewhat shielded position and get off a few rounds at the bad guys / gals, that should distract them and allow more time for others to escape.
Yes, it’s risky. The defender might catch an innocent in the crossfire or by ricochet. The defender has a good chance of being shot themselves, given the perps often have heavier weaponry. Given even worse luck, a “defender” might get shot by a cop.

The odds just seem so against doing much good in that specific kind of situation. Other situations, definitely, I can see and have known about how they save the day.
Incidentally that SOB and his crazy wife left behind not just a terrible trail of grief and tears but an orphaned 6-month-old child. There will be terrible cost to society yet to be paid.
The child will probably qualify for Social Security death benefits because the father was gainfully employed for 5 or more years (about). The critical victims and even the ones not so badly injured; their lives have been altered in a few seconds. Some will no doubt need disability for the rest of their lives if there is any left to be had.
In panic, I might remember to pray. You never know how that could improve the odds. The media mocked those who prayed, but how do we know but what and may one day be shown how much worse a situation we prayed for might have been had we not prayed.
Would prayer without someone armed save everyone physiccally? I don't have that kind of faith. That’s what the right MUST do- start exclaiming loud and clear that we MUST arm our citizens- shout it every time a liberal opens hteir mouth about gun control- start picking up support all across the country for concealed carry- and scare the ever lovin crap out of the left-
Start running ads on TV- Start running ads in radio- bill boards- etc- flood the nation with ‘arm yourselves citizens’ billboards Steam roll right over the loud mouths on the left!
