Yeah but bin laden did not have any problem with pashtun nationalism, if he had called for the taliban to be killed for supporting it they would have killed him.

Isis takes a concept takfiri to whole another level then al qaeda, Al qeada central only cleared takfiri on the rulers of muslim countries(takfiri is when you claim a muslim is not a muslim but a traitor that must be killed).
Isis has declared takfir on the taliban,al qaeda and all shias

So isis will have a huge problem getting the upper hand because the taliban will fight to them death, plus the pashtun tribes and the haqqani network, Isis might have success recruiting non pashtun tribe.

Like i said before , let both sides pour resources to fight each other until one is left and weakened and then nuke them.

I could also Tehrik-i-Taliban (the taliban offshot in pakistan) could pour into such a fight as well.

Could isis win such a fight? Its possible but it will leave them severely weakened
