Well, my kids all read books. They do not waste their lives in front of TVs. On the negative side they cannot instantly tell you who did what on the soaps or what a kardashian is. To many of yall that is rank ignorance but they can discuss economics intelligently, having read Hazlitt and Adam Smith, and know what is going on in the world outside of the TV. I determined to not allow the TV to CONTROl my family. That may be unAmerican but so be it.
I disagree with the idea that it was a snoozefest.

I am with you. I thought most of the questions were actually good (there were some over the top bad ones though) and that the candidates were able to show what sides they come down on.
The things that stood out to me in the debate:
Rubio’s Ears.
I had never noticed how gigantic his ears are until last night. I pointed them out to my wife and she said she couldn’t stop staring at them after that. They are freakishly large.
Chris Christie was federal prosecutor. He told me so.
Rand Paul should have a Great Christmas
Ted Cruz and Rubio were exchanging crushing body blows, each connecting. Rand Paul acted as the cavalry and came to the rescue and attacked Rubio - HARD. After that Cruz had the momentum. Paul also did what Cruz could not and that was attack Trump. For good measure he attacked Christie. Paul had a very good debate. Since he has no shot (and knows it), he acted as Cruz’ enforcer and unleashed on all of Cruz’ enemies. Cruz should send him a nice Christmas present. Like a new Lexus wrapped in a giant ribbon.
Chris Christie was federal prosecutor. He told me so.
Trump and Cruz have officially signed a non-aggression pact. They are working to clear the field of pretenders.
Chris Christie was a federal prosecutor. I hadn’t known that the other 37 times he mentioned it.
Finally, Rubio has GIANT ears. Massive. Enormous. YUGE!
“There were, literally, more candidates on stage for Tuesday nights Republican debate than there were at a yeb? Bush debate watching a party in Miami.”
That’s a gross exaggeration, I count ten in the photo and there were only 9 candidates in the debate, unless you count the 4 in the mini debate.
But wasn't that what supporters of say Ron Paul or Tankredo or Alan Keyes were wanting in 00 and/or 08?
...the media has utterly swindled the GOP....
***
Uh, no. The GOP is actually in on the attempt to dampen Trump’s surge.
The questions from Wolf were reasonable and relevant and candidates were given ample opportunity to respond to each other. Even fringers like Christie and Paul had some valuable input into the debates raging in the party and country.
The problem with winnowing the field is giving that awesome responsibility to our mostly hated enemies - the GOPe, the polling firms and the television networks. Anybody see opportunities for shenanigans there?
#4 can be ladies choice. Open it up for female polling only.
I also think CNN wanted as many bodies behind podiums as possible in an attempt to MINIMIZE THE IMPACT OF ANY ONE CANDIDATE. That CNN tactic didn't go unnoticed by FReepers, I'm sure. I thought Christie did a great job of sticking it to Hillary. Almost every remark included a jab at Hillary.
Females? Ben Carson fantasies. The ‘Obama syndrome’.
Getting beat by “Margin of Error.” It would be funny if it wasn’t hurting my candidate. Primary voters would be amazed by Cruz in a real debate.
Let the media decide who it is: Carson, Bush, of their favorite, Kasich. As long as the true frontrunners are in there.
Couldn’t they organize there own debate? Why wouldn’t they? I can see why Trump would be against it. He really has nothing to gain by debating Cruz.
“Need for control.” That’s funny. Did you know that Madison Ave, Hollywood, and the MSM spend a lot of money in order to control you?
They can organize a debate among all who would attend, which will be most if not all of them because a CNN debate without Trump and Cruz wouldnt get any ratings. They can do it under Newsmax or WND auspices or other such and make it available for any outlet to carry. The debates should certainly be open-source with no proprietary claims allowed. The ads for the debate that I heard on the radio trivialized it.
I want both parties to debate with multiple candidates. With that, we could at least show the country just how bad the democrats’ ideas are.
Would you place mr gang of eight ahead of Rand Paul?
The media and the pollsters decide who the front runners are. They’ll tell us Pataki just moved into first, ahead Graham and Kasich.
For his performance in that debate, I would.
Not because I believe he is necessarily the better candidate.
Fact is, almost any of the people on that stage would be immeasurably better for this nation that Obama has been, or than Hillary would be.
So you think they spend all that money just to do you a favor?
