The Sacramento-area woman convicted of killing her 2-month-old daughter in a microwave oven was sentenced Friday to 26 years to life.

In November, a jury found Ka Yang, 34, guilty of first-degree murder and a second count of assault on a child causing great bodily injury leading to death. Yang placed Mirabelle Thao-Lo in the microwave at her family's Robla-area home on March 17, 2011. The baby suffered burns covering 60 percent of her body, including radiation burns that penetrated her internal organs.

Wonder if it is possible to build an adult size microwave for a possible punishment for this piece of human trash?

How could anyone even think of giving her the possibility of getting out in 26 years? This was an especially heinous act and if they couldn’t or wouldn’t sentence her to death she should at least never see the light of day again!

How can ANYONE think that there is no such thing as evil? Satan is alive and well, and in control of this world.

“”family’s Robla-area home””

Wonder if that’s anything like Rio Linda - LOL. Lived in Sacramento for years and never heard of it...

“”Robla is a neighborhood located within the city of Sacramento, California. The borders of Robla are generally considered to be city limits on the north adjacent to Rio Linda, McClellan Park on the east, the Beltline Freeway Interstate 80 on the south, and Northgate Boulevard on the west.””

That’s just it...

First it was no implementation of the death penalty
Then it was no life in prison
Now it’s just 26 years for placing a person in a microwave and killing them

Makes you wonder where the next level is.

Can’t visit Dodger stadium for six months?

Sometimes, there are topics that are just too horrible for consideration. This is one of them.

I wish I had not opened this thread.

First degree is life without parole in Pennsylvania, or possibly death (with aggravating circumstances).

Don’t give ISIS any ideas, or they will soon be doing it.

In many jurisdictions, 25 or 26 to life is the maximum (non death penalty) sentence for murder a judge can impose. What it means is simply that the defendant is not even eligible for a parole hearing until that point. I seriously, seriously, doubt she'll ever get parole.

Fetal alchohol syndrome in the mother? Low IQ, low impulse control, and very often co-morbid with mental illness and substance abuse.

Well it’s here in Taxifornia under moonbeam who had a really big hand in the death penalty being overturned his first time around and even though the people overwhelmingly reinstated the death penalty it is still ignored by the liberals in control and moonbeam would probably halt any execution anyway. With the liberals in control this bitch will probably out in five and given her other children back.

I sat on a grand jury that indicted a woman in Virgina that microwaved her baby.
I saw the pictures.
It is real.
It is real ugly.

She needs only one thing: a bullet into her brain.
No need to waste any more time, effort or press on her.
