All I or anyone has seen Trump do is talk. Being how he has been a progressive Democrat most of his life what makes you think he will do what he says?

No one called you names. No one called you an idiot but I am calling you one now because that is what you are, and since you are an idiot it’s not name calling but factual

Why are you addressing this to me?

Because I mentioned you in the post.

It is considered polite and good form to ping anyone you mention in a post.

Most folks know this.

I know far more differences than you can dream of. You think trying to insult people will gain you the upper hand? Not with me because I know my I.Q. is higher than yours by a long shot. Arrogance does not replace either experience or knowledge. You’re sadly lacking in the latter two.

Folks keep saying Cruz can’t win, but the polls show him doing better against Hillary than Trump does.

P.S. I would also remind you that publishers would have no business without authors and editors. They would have nothing to sell.

Leading in all the polls helps though. :-)

You haven’t seen his buildings? You don’t know about the charitable things he has done that weren’t publicized at the time? His whole life proves he is a man of action.

True,Americans are a dying breed. That does tend to narrow Teds base. But we old fasioned Americans are fighters, and we put pit bulls to shame. In the end we will be standing, and the whiners and those who compromise will fall. They have given up or given in already.

Democracys fail every time because the weak and the evil outnumber the good and the strong. But when push comes to shove, we fight above ou weight. The weak dont care to fight and the evil only serve themselves.

Its why America won two world wars. Principals matter.

He just says he does. I’ve looked at his past, at what he’s said and done when he wasn’t trying to seduce a group of people politically, and he is a liberal. Not by NYC standards, perhaps, but certainly by the country as a whole. And I don’t see any evidence of any sort of intellectual or philosophical development that might justify the belief that he has truly changed those views. Add to that he is a consummate opportunist - success in business requires the ability to take advantage of unforeseen opportunities - and I cannot shake the belief that he is pulling a fast one on people. Based on what I do know about him, I very much believe that he would end up being a liberal president; something just slightly to the right of Bill Clinton.

I’ve been exposed to politicians most of my life. I can read them like a book. I like that Trump is NOT a politician, but is an extremely knowledgeable and intelligent man with the skill set to straighten out the mess we’re in as a country. He’s also a red, white, and blue, AMERICAN.

Trump in his wisdom

I don't think "wisdom" is the right word. Maybe "bullishness."

I’m enough of an optimist to think that - after looking at all the data I can - that Trump has the where with all to change things for the better.

I just don’t see how Cruz can be very effective in a meaningful way. If he is the nominee I will vote for him...anybody but the witch.

All depends on what you mean by “politician.” He is, in fact, very political because the only way you get ahead in NYC real estate development is through knowing how the political winds are blowing, knowing who should be schmoozed and who should not, and when those roles change. In more blunt terms, he is a consummate crony capitalist - a capitalist who survives because he knows how to turn the reins of power to his own personal profit. If people think that Cruz, Rubio, et al, are just politicians who change their positions at will, they haven’t seen anything yet. In this one area: swinging with the wind as an opportunist, and using corrupt political influence to line his own pockets, Trump is light years ahead of the competition.

You are joking? Congress will work with Cruz. How has that worked out so far?

The GOPe in Congress hates both Cruz and Trump.

Yet you don't see that.

I 110% agree with you on that. We may disagree on who would make a better president (and, just for the record, I’m not totally sold on Cruz, either), but I too will vote for Trump if he is the GOP nominee. Anybody who isn’t a demoncrat.
