Canada vows to double Syrian refugee intake

Canada has vowed to double its intake of Syrian refugees next year.

The minister of immigration and citizenship, John McCallum, said the country's resettlement program would be expanded in 2016 to take 50,000.

Mr. McCallum made the announcement from the Jordanian capital of Amman, where he met Syrians heading to Canada.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau welcomed some of the first arrivals earlier this month and said Canada was "showing the world how to open our hearts."

His new Liberal government had promised to resettle 25,000 refugees by the end of February......

During the election campaign Trudeau said he would take in 25 thousand , now his government says 50-thousand.

I have NO DOUBT that Canada and the American cities that have said they'll gladly take them are being paid to do so by the U.S. Treasury i.e. Obama. No doubt in my mind. These people are the antithesis of the countries and cities they're flooding. They will get on the dole and cause trouble.

But, of course, the ruling elite won't be harmed, only their citizens.

In the leaders debate, Harper of the Conservatives said 20-thousand, Trudeau said 25-thousand and Mulcair of the NDP gave a 34-thousand figure.

Trudeau is now more ‘liberal’ on Syrian refugees than the NDP socialists of Canada IMHO with his 50-thousand plan.
