I like a clean floor. I changed the mop water when it got down to 108 degrees. :)
I was six months late this year with my financial aid stuff (I was very sick), and the wonderful folks in the financial aid were very understanding, turned our application around in three weeks, and were very helpful and very generous.
Of course, since I’m as considerate as the folks in financial aid, when I started to get sick, I let them know I’d be late. They said, take your time, take care of your health. We will make sure your sons can graduate Harvard.
But they’ve always been very helpful. When my older son was accepted, his financial aid award seemed out of whack by a few thousand dollars. So I went to Harvard and had a pleasant visit with his financial aid officer, and together figured out their misunderstanding of my small business. That afternoon, they increased his award by several thousand dollars.
That’s good, I guess. I’m not professionally involved in mopping floors.
Whether I mop a floor, cook a prime rib, write a computer program, clean a toilet, frame a building, dig a trench - I do a professional job.
Always.
I don't suffer slacking, nor do I suffer it in others.
Heard on my jobsites: "Lose the cellphone, kid."
"Pardon me, stewardess, I speak Asian!"
You already lost your credibility when you contradicted yourself.
I’m not a supplicant, just a nice guy who actually does his homework, and thus relies on WHAT he knows, not Who he knows. Kinda like my sons, the Harvard guys.
Of course, my asshole liberal brother-in-law believes it’s who you know. He had a business failure in the 1970s, thought that the problem with the Reagan years was that some people got rich, and now, leech that he is,works for the government.
And, yes, he voted for obama. Twice.
One of my oldest friends is Chinese. His parents were born in Milwaukee. I had a student, also Chinese, in high school, who was born in Madagascar. The Chinese got around, didn't they? It's a shame that they were forced out of their homeland, but, in the long run, their lives were probably/possibly much better than if they had stayed in China.
This old friend of mine went to China and brought back a wife. It had been arranged by both parents. I hadn't thought that he would be part of that but his wife, Lily, is a PEACH and they are both still very happy after all these years.
Many Chinese are Republicans. I think it's because of their conservative way of living and working.
Lol. Mothers are all the same, I think, especially when it comes to their SONS.
I learned that the folks in northern Europe (Scandinavia) are lighter for a reason. There is much less sun up in those latitudes for so much of the year and LIGHT hair, skin and eyes have the ability to absorb much more light. It's functional to their existence.
And conversely, people at the equator have enough sun so they need not be so light in color.
Betsy McCaughey. She’s not just about health care.
As I said - no credibility.
I wouldn't hire a one of you. Passive-aggressive obamaheels to beat the band.
I've seen your kind before.
No begging involved. It’s a shame about that whole liberal thing you have. Kinda like my brother-in-law. He tells me he’s enlightened. So we call him Buddha. Are you “enlightened,” too? Lol.
I'm so liberal, that I arrived at FR before you. Twit.
You weren't around for the beat-downs of the Lefties in 97.
If a comrade-in-arms from 97 was spitting on me, I might take notice.
Some fresh meat from the repple-depple in 98? Not hardly.
Of course, even though you were shy at the start [geez, almost a month and a half to start posting after you signed up?], it is somewhat noteworthy that you went right in after ol' ash when you decided to jump into the deep end of the pool...
"Welcome to the party, pal!"
Hans Clinton & his evil fraulein had already been loose for many years before Drudge shat out Spikey's scoop...
That's what happened with my wife's parents. It was an arranged marriage by the parents. I can't see doing that myself, marrying someone without knowing the person, but it was their culture. They had a long happy marriage, over 41 years, until her dad passed away.
I’m not a narcissistic fool who brings up my signup date with which to bludgeon other posters when I’ve lost an argument.
Good on you!
As well, since you’ve brought it up a second time, I posted anonymously in 1997 before registration was required. Once registration was required, I lurked for some months, and only registered to test the site after an outage of several days.
As I was on the clinton White House DB database, I was significantly more cautious at the time. I didn’t like getting personalized Christmas cards from them.
So, I am from 1997. But I don’t spit on you, because, well, I don’t spit on anyone.
You serve your god, trump.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
