We are finally having some seasonal weather - topped out in the low 40's this afternoon - overnight in the 20's.

But yesterday, while we were out shopping, I saw a lot of landscape roses in bloom.

We had some alleged snow, which quickly turned to ice. It has now melted, and the beach is walkable again. Huzzah!

for a safe and peaceful week ahead.

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.

May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.

May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Evenin’, Kathy. Wasn’t sure which thread to go to when I first pulled up FR. LOL! Now there’s only one and I guess this would be it.

Many thanks to our military men and women, past and present, for your service. We are deeply grateful for all you do and have done for our country.

It's been in the lower 20's here in Western Pa.....and when that wind gusts it's miserably cold!

When it gets below 25 I shut off my bedroom and sleep on my sofa here....it's just cozier and central to the rest of my place. My bedroom sits right on the corner of the building as does my bed so when that wind kicks I don't hear it as much either.

That's when you realize why your cat hangs out there on cold winter nights!

Weird, weird weather....this is our second winter where it make up its mind.

Right now it is 43, high wind gusts, and ICY. I tried to venture out earlier, but decided I didn’t need anything that bad. Just backing out my driveway brought sliding.
