Fear and desperation are BAD GUIDES for important decisions, trebb. They always have been, and they always will be.
It is plain and obvious that for conservatives and for America, Trump is a very bad risk. People who vote for bad risks are ONLY showing their support for bad, stupid "leadership."
Funny how so many can see how Trump's a bad risk (and many of them have "concerns" about Cruz too) but are so deluded in their own little worlds that they still don't understand how much damage was done by giving Obama a second term or how it would be compounded by letting Hillary in the door.
My mind has trouble grasping how so many think that it's better to put our heads in the guillotine so we don't have to suffer a stubbed toe.
And they think folks like me are the problem.
Question - how much more speed should we allow don this slope before saying enough? We already know that w/o a "pushy and brash" President (only Cruz and Trump fit that bill) the Congress is useless no matter how much of a majority we have - the WH is our only chance to get things even a little bit turned around.
But, alas, I speak to deaf ears plugged with smug "there, there, we have a plan that will really work" tripe (reminds me of Obama's plan to beat terrorism while reality aids and abets the bad guys), and counsel that even the slightest flaw is reason for a declaration of "unclean".
Perhaps you ain't noticed it yet, but the last 8 years are what happens when we can't accept a few flaws and when we react (as you claim for folks like me) "fear and desperation". I think it's more sane to feel more fear and desperation over a Hillary (or Sanders) than over a Trump (or Cruz).
Pogo had it right......
“So, being an eight-time president of the Screen Actors Guild was âconservativeâ back in those days?”
Being an eight-time president of the Screen Actors Guild who spoke out against the Communist infiltration of Hollywood and cooperated with federal investigations of that phenomenon was indeed extraordinarily conservative for that time and place.
“You two are speaking nonsense without any basis for your opinions.”
You’re the one trying to compare Ronald Reagan, one of the greatest conservatives of our time, to Donald Trump, who has zero conservative credentials whatsoever. I’ll leave it to the forum to decide which of us is talking “nonsense”.
Well, it appears your perspective is not shared by most here, including Jim, as well as Ted Cruz in his own support of Trump.
Enjoy your island.
Meh, it won’t be lonely for long I think. I remember when most people here thought Rubio was a staunch conservative.
Im for Cruz Trump also, but for the very first time I got annoyed at Trump for suggesting Cruz is not eligible to run for President.
I thought RUSH might have had something to say about this today...missed the show
