Well, everyone with the sense God gave a snail knew Rubio was disgusting when he first went to address La Raza at their rallies.

What sort of person goes to a racial supremacist organization stumping for votes?

He wants to win for goodness sake. That is tame on what is coming Trumps way eventually. Trump needs to be strong. He has been but is wallowing a bit lately. I wish he would continue what he was doing before December. Maybe the Christmas Season weakens him.

I really don’t think Rubio is going to be the nominee. I think he’s a means to an end but he isn’t the intended end although he would be a more acceptable end than Donald J. Trump to the donor class.

It’s not the Rose Bowl Parade, it’s the Tournament of Roses Parade or simply the Rose Parade. The first Rose Bowl Game was played in 1923, 33 years after the event began in 1890. Before 1923, the Tournament of Roses Game was played in Tournament Park, which still exists, across the street from the California Institute of Technology, aka Cal Tech.

It's a steady grind. Who could endure it?

Actually the first Rose Bowl was played in 1902. Michigan beat Stanford 49-0.

The stadium that a journalist dubbed the Rose Bowl was built in 1922, so those earlier games can't really be called Rose Bowl games.

In the 1960’s, Occidental College would often play Cal Tech in the Rose Bowl, but in 1969, the Oxy Tigers played the Cal Tech Beavers in Tournament Park, site of the original Tournament of Roses game. Oxy beat the Beavers 45-20. This would be the last game played between the two schools. After 1969, Cal Tech dropped football.

It was the Rose Bowl.

They named the stadium for the game.

Hey, I take it back.

I looked it up.

The term bowl in bowl games comes from the Rose Bowl name.

It was the Tournament of Roses game, but you are right it was not called bowl.

I never knew the genesis of the term bowl in college football before now.

Thanks.

Hillsdale beat Notre Dame once, and the two schools haven’t played since.

The article at the link no longer exists. Doug or anyone, do you know if these anti-Trump sentiments were written by airplane sky-writers, how many and what they said?
