Iran has freed four prisoners from the United States, including Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian, Iran's semi-official FARS news agency reported Saturday, quoting Tehran's prosecutor.
According to FARS, it has freed Rezaian, Marine veteran Amir Hekmati and Christian pastor Saeed Abedini, who had been held on various charges. The news agency did not name the fourth person released.
The release is part of a prisoner swap deal in which the United States reportedly freed six Iranian-Americans held on charges related to sanctions against Iran, FARS said.

So, they were swapped....for who?
Six terrorists to be named later. /s
$150 billion and a terrorist to be named later. Rumors of up-and-coming nuclear scientists from triple-A farm teams were unconfirmed. /sarc>
No sarcasm tag needed there, that’s true! They’ll be named the day Obama leaves office.
Why do I get the feeling this is all preplanned Kabuki
theater, probably because it is.
The remaining 100 prisoners at Gitmo ?
Because that’s been the history under Obama.
They probably saw the latest Fox poll with Trump beating Hillary and started pissing in their pants.
6 very very very very very (5 verys) low level terrorists. I’m sure they were among the worst of the worst....
And I’m sure they got some cash as well, and a couple of terrorists to be named later and 3 first round draft picks from Gitmo.
Welcome home Amir.
Actually, my first thought on hearing about the 10 sailors seized from the Riverine boats was that the Iranians were going to hold them hostage for the release of everyone at Gitmo.
So ten of our sailors just fall into Iranian hands
and are quickly released, now this. It is all designed
to sweeten the Obama/Iran agreement and make the release
of 150 billion palatable.
I guess the check for 150 billion cleared....
Was the Iran deal signed, or deemed?
Congress is mum.
IT must have happened because of the tough talk at the GOP presidential debates
According to Iranâs Fars News Agency, the four were ordered released in exchange for six Iranian-Americans held in the United States on sanctions-related charges.
