By Trump’s logic anyone who takes out a loan from a bank becomes their puppet. Even, as in the case of Ted Cruz the loan was secured by putting up his own assets.
Trump has insulted the entire middle class who commonly need to take out a loan from a bank because they didn’t inherit a fortune.
But when Trump readily admits to corrupting politicians by buying them off, that is OK because he is the Donald.
And now since he has compounded his inherited fortune by buying off politicians, he is the only one pure enough to run for president unlike those peasants that have to take out a loan or receive donations to finance their campaigns.

Concur. This is about trust. Cruz is a proven conservative, spent years fighting for conservative principles. Trump has never lifted a finger for conservative causes, on top of which he is a petulant, narcissistic jackass unsuited for the presidency.
