Donald Trump Booed By Conservative Crowd After Attacks on Ted Cruz

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Among conservatives, Donald Trump can typically do no wrong — until he attacks Ted Cruz.

On Saturday, Trump drew boos from a grassroots conservative crowd during remarks at the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention for his attack on Cruz's previously undisclosed loans.

"You give a campaign contribution to Ted Cruz, you get whatever the hell you want," he said, before boos erupted from the crowd.

Trump went on as the boos grew louder: "Say whatever you want, it's okay, he didn't report his bank loans. He's got bank loans from Goldman Sachs, he's got bank loans from Citibank, folks, and then he acts like Robin Hood?"

Trump got booed at the debate and his poll numbers went up.

He doesn’t pander to Goldman Sachs pawns.

So true. Trump also got booed at the debate before last by a bunch of Rand Paul supporters who wanted Isis to get on the internet. These boos are disingenuous.

Hey, Trump chose to own New York values, so now he has to wear it.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving New Yorker.

A lot of them have but many haven’t.

I have seen a shift in attitude here on Free Republic.

The Trump supporters have actually quieted down a little.

The thread about Trump’s morning tweets was hysterical.

I, mayself, have changed. I was for Cruz but almost as strongly for Trump. It was such fun to hear him poke holes in political correctness ... to say the things we all wanted to say, and he could get heard in the media just by waking up in the morning.

I also thought Trump has a slightly better chance of winning the general.

I have really soured on him. He’s not trustworthy. He’s now turned viciously on two candidates he said were friends... and that’s Ben Carson and now Ted Cruz.

He even claimed Ben Carson was mentally unbalanced. Guess it takes one to know one.

If Trump had been my guy, I’d admit that I’d been schlonged after Trump mentioned Scott Brown as possible VP.

That you keep repeating that misinformation indicates that you haven’t properly vetted a candidate.

Hey, Trump chose to own New York values, so now he has to wear it.

Yes, the values he spoke of during the debate about what he saw on 9/11. But, I wouldn't expect you listen with an open mind. You've sealed yours shut and hardened your heart.

Trying to slander everyone from New York for New York values is just like trying to slander everyone from Texas for Austin values.

If Trump had characterized Cruz with Austin values, Cruz would have admitted the nut-jobs that dominate Austin are liberal and he opposes them.(Same for Houston wackjobs, Cynthia McKinney et al.) You can be sure he would not have started in on the Alamo and how Trump was insulting bravery. Trump wrapped himself in the liberal values, he confessed them to Russert and bragged about how in NY you have to engage in graft to get favors from corrupt officials to be a billionaire. He used 9-11 like liberals use the race card. Why just this morning I heard Larry Kudlow go off on Cruz saying he wanted him out of the race and suggested that the comment was racist and anti-jewish. NY values are on display and they are not mine!

If the GOP voters nominate Rubio or Cruz, that’s all I need to know about the party, and how it’s going nowhere for half a century.

And I’ll vote for Cruz in the general election. But no fooling myself like I did in 2012.

It’s time for a divorce.

What a classy guy you are.

“shit for brains.” “jackass.’

As we used to say to kindergarteners, “Use your words.”

But maybe those are your words.

The zealotry on both sides really needs to stop here....that is unless the intention is to elect Hillary or Bernie.

You all look like the children we accuse the left of being, sad.
