People do post Goldman Sachs and CFR wife all day long too. Right??

It’s a relevant topic. Cruz gets his health care through Goldman Sachs and presumably other bennies. He takes loans from GS and later casts U. S. Senate votes in support of GS. Cruz is chosing to associate with the sleaziest crony capitalist of them all. Nobody to blame but himself if the issue is discussed.

Ignoring the fact you completely missed the point of my post, I don’t see Trumps name on here:

The reason New London, CT gave for applying eminent domain to an entire neighborhood was in anticipation of higher property taxes from Pfizer. After New London “won”, and Kelo lost, Pfizer changed their mind and now there’s NOTHING. It would be funny if it weren’t true.

Basically crony capitalism is when government uses its influence with private industry to put its cronies in control of what would otherwise be a private company. Effectively the company becomes an instrumentality of the politicians. Thus it’s really a government enterprise, i.e. Socialism.

The news media is a good example. Stephanopolous is a crony capitalist. There are plenty of other examples both in and out of the media.

And Goldman Sachs would be a good example. Buying politicians ($100,000 in donations to Cruz), writing important legislation like TPP, etc.

So, where is Trump on the directors list? (if that’s your point)

And, just what was my point?

Trump panders to King Corn, donates to Hillary, McAullife, McConnell and all the rest, and he associates with Soros to the tune of 160 million, who is sleazier than GS.

Nobody to blame but himself if the issues are discussed.

Okay, Instead of playing a game of Guess the Point, why don't you articulate a clear one.

Eminent domain is another matter. Trump is wrong on that issue. But, again, abuse of eminent domain is not an issue of socialist-inspired “evil capitalism” - it is government action outside its constitutional limits. The problem, as usual, is UNCONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT.

There’s no such thing as “crony capitalism.” People on the Right need to quit using that misleading Leftist-supporting term. “Crony capitalism” is political corruption. As with so many expressions these days, the term replaces government and political complicity with freedom (”capitalism”) as the culprit.

Capitalism is freedom at work in the free enterprise economy without government interference. It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT acts that create these corrupt results including the unconstitutional application of eminent domain in Kelo v. City of New Britain which should be nullified by the states as should all unconstitutional federal acts.

The title of the case is “Kelo v. City of New London”, not “Kelo v. City of New Britain”. So why should we consider what you say when you can’t even cite the case properly?

https://www.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/04-108.ZS.html

268 Conn. 1, 843 A. 2d 500, affirmed.

Stevens, J., delivered the opinion of the Court, in which Kennedy, Souter, Ginsburg, and Breyer, JJ., joined. Kennedy, J., filed a concurring opinion. O’Connor, J., filed a dissenting opinion, in which Rehnquist, C. J., and Scalia and Thomas, JJ., joined. Thomas, J., filed a dissenting opinion.

Kennedy: President Reagan nominated him as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, and he took his seat February 18, 1988.

Souter: President Bush nominated him as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, and he took his seat October 9, 1990.

Stevens: President Ford nominated him as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, and he took his seat December 19, 1975.

See, it really is a Uniparty, and it is counting on your not noticing.

Look, If you want to continue on the current course, then anyone other than Donald Trump is you person. Trump may not come through on his promises, although doing so is one of his core beliefs, but he is the only one who has a chance. The fact that the UniParty blew the cover off National Review as an independent organization in order to try and stop Trump should be proof enough that we have all been played for suckers.

My point was abundantly clear.

Both sides of this nasty crap that's going on here needs to stop.

The petty attacks from the same "need to get a life" posters, all day, all night, everyday who use the lowest ways to attack the one they're out to destroy with disingenuous childish attacks.....they work both ways.

That was my point

Based on Trump’s past record of doing eminent domain, I welcome him to grab my property! I’d have some money and my then ex-town would profit from whatever Trump would do with my property!

Oh, and I still haven’t seen any proof from you that Trump is a director of GS, or you just spouting crap?

BTW, even if he was, he’s a private citizen, not a government employee.....just a little difference there, eh?

I understand, and it is even more tragic because three of the five justices who voted for Kelo vs. New London, et. al. were appointed by Republican Presidents, i.e. Ford, Reagan, and Bush. So it really is one UniParty.

Um...Ted Cruz claims to be a Constitutionalist. Well perhaps he should read the 5th Amendment, which allows eminent domain with “just compensation.” Eminent domain isn’t “crony capitalism.”
