Let’s see if Rubio goes after Trump tonight in Trump’s absence. That will tell us a lot.

Where does Scarborough live? I know he was a Congressman from Pensacola, but I don’t think he lives there, since MSNBC is in the New York area.
The constitution specifically provides that electors shall vote for two people (one for President, one for Vice President), “one of whom at least shall not be from the same state as themselves.”
So if Scarborough is a New York resident and if he were on the ticket (very unlikely) and if they carried New York (a long shot), the New York electors could not vote for both of them. That would pretty much destroy the advantage of carrying New York, and possibly prevent anyone from getting a majority of the electoral College.

Sounds about right for Trump, but Trump may go one step further and pick a Democrat running mate.
