Trump is in Cruz control. He has a good lead in NH, no need to bash Cruz or Rubio, let them beat up each other.

No, I can see the two of then both saying that neither of us will attack or speak ill of the other, and let the delegates fall where they may.

This worked well the first five months until the wheels fell off. I think it could work again.

Both want to stick it to GOP(e) . How better to do it.

It could be that Illinois recognized that Senator Cruz is eligible to run for the presidency.

Carson and his team (Armstrong Williams) have lost my respect over this. They are more to blame than CNN. Carson has probably more of an edge to earn my support than the other candidates because I have long wanted a black Republican on the ticket, either P or VP. I wanted Bush to pick JC Watts. I wanted it to counter the way Democrats use race as a political weapon.

Carson lost me because he did not support Kim Davis — thought she should quit. That was first. Then the more I looked at his positions the more I disagreed. He is not strongly pro-life. He is bad on immigration. He is weak on many other issues. Add to that his lack of experience and he was just not going to be my candidate.

He has done well in the polls for likability. Well that can be thrown out the window. He is turning out to be a big sore losing, blame shifting jerk.

Trump has his own polls and I bet they asked his supporters if his attacks hurt him and they said YES. simple.

You know, I heard the other day that Trump really wasn't doing any internal polling, and that was one reason he got surprised in Iowa - he was going off the public polls and didn't see the internals. I don't know if that is true or if so if it has now changed, but it could explain a lot.

Why did Rush star in Cruz ads while feigning partiality?

Most likely - Trump has the best political advisers money can buy. And he listened to them when they told him to move on.

Too bad he didn't listen to Roger Stone last year when Stone told him to lay off Megyn Kelly. Instead he fired Stone and carried the Kelly Derangement Syndrome into this year, skipping the debate and losing Iowa as the likely result of it.

I listened fairly closely to the Rush Limbaugh show this week. I noticed:

1. He endorsed Ted Cruz Monday. He did not come out officially, but he did in every other way. Criticizing Trump, praising Cruz over and over. I have listened to Rush for years. I know how he uses his voice inflection to get his points across. He says he does not endorse. Very dishonest.

2. Today, he tried to justify his near endorsement of Rubio. Earlier in the week, he spoke at length about Rubio, stated he was a Reagan conservative. Today he mentioned Reagan’s amnesty when he mentioned the Gang of Eight bill.
He said Rubio’s support of the Gang of Eight bill was due to him being green. That is pathetic.

For Rush to continue his narrative on Rubio, he had to ignore Rubio’s call for amnesty two weeks ago. He could not have said what he said about Rubio if he had acknowledged Rubio calling for amnesty on a Sunday morning show Jan 24 (?). Very dishonest on the part of Rush.

3. He claims the debacle during the Iowa caucus was merely a tweet released by CNN and then released by Cruz. That is not true. Very dishonest. Check with Gretna.

This week, for me, Rush has become a Stephen Colbert clone.
Now he just an entertainer. He used to much more.

I just want to see a businessman in the White House for once.

If Trump bows out, would you consider Michael Bloomberg, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburger, George Soros, Warren Buffett, Arnold Schwarzenegger or John Corzine to run in his place?

It’s real simple. Some Trump adviser told him Rubio is the one rising and threatening to derail him in NH, and it would not help Trump to keep attacking Cruz.

I think, and hope, this might be the influence of Jeff Sessions. That Sessions staff member went to work for Trump just a few days ago and he also issued a very good statement for the Trump campaign, yesterday, I think.

I believe Sessions might be moving more towards Trump after his warnings this week about TPP which was just signed in New Zealand with no publicity. Trump has been strong against TPP and Cruz entirely unreliable after his vote for TPA.

Trump said that publically that he has no internal polling. He doesn’t want to spend any money. He’s a skinflint. He’s breaking all the rules and learning the hard way why the rules exist.

Cruz defeated another billionaire businessman in Texas.

Trump needs to educate himself on how Cruz did that.

Cruz is a fighter not some mush typical Repub.

Re post #10. Right on bigbob. Agree completely.Cruz is far from the sanctimonius person he claims to be. He sure fooled me early on. Even donated to his senate campaign.

Could be Trump just figures Cruz is finished due to the impending Breitbart expose, supposed to hit probably after new Hampshire
