“how the hell is Ruth Buzzy Ginsburg still with us?”

Don’t be shocked if she announces her retirement.

Advise and consent is by Senate ONLY.

Thank you for posting this. Choldt, let me ask you, do you think the republican controlled senate can delay a vote until Jan 20??

If the Republicans in the Senate rush the nomination through as could and should be expected, this death could well be the coup de grace to the Republic.

The Republicans in the senate have to prevent a Obama appointee confirmation by any means necessary.

ROFL!!! Hoooo boy, that's a good one. They haven't stopped Obama yet, they're not going to grow a spine now, are they?!

“Maybe his wife.”

I mentioned Michelle to my sister.

And a SCOTUS doesn’t even need to be an attorney. It can be anyone.

Cruz has the bully pulpit right now, and so does Rubio. It's called the GOP debates, and there is one tonight.

Let's see if Cruz and Rubio together can lay down a line in the sand that McConnell dare not cross.

If this is really the GOP year, then Rubio (even more than Cruz) must demand that the Senate leave the seat vacant for one of them on the stage to fill.

To do otherwise would be a betrayal of all Republicans by the Senate Majority Leader. Both Rubio and Cruz must say that.

RIP Justice Scalia. The best Supreme Court justice bar none. The torch is now passed to Justice Clarence Thomas.

These RINOS in the Senate better filibuster the hell out of any Obama nomination. Make the election about the future of the Supreme Court.

One thing is for certain. If it was Scalia’s wish that the Obamas not be at his funeral, they would crash it anyway. Democrats do that.

A sad day for America. He will be replaced with another unqualified Marxist lesbian pagan.

I'm shaking and in tears as I type this. VERY sad day for America. I hope you are wrong about Obama replacing him. I'm hoping that the Republicans in Congress can *somehow* grow a pair and stonewall, stonewall, stonewall until the Marxist-in-Chief is out of office.

The Senate can deny confirmation, no constitutional issue. whether it has the political will is a different question, but given the political climate today, I think they find the will.

Obama is unpopular, Trump is popular, and the twerps in the Senate want to keep their seats.
