Doubtful Trump had SCOTUS choices in mind for the unfortunate event. But he should have promoted Cruz.

Trump’s campaign propaganda is no “record” of his conservative values. Closet LIEberals have infiltrated the NRA as well so I don’t see his sons involvement as any Conservative credentials. I go by Trumps actions. “Generally oppose” is one of those statements that Trump uses to ride the fence on the issue, but in the very next sentence saying for assault weapons ban is where his heart truly lies.

Pryor was filibustered and criticized by the democrats for his conservative views.

He must really be a great nominee, then!

Nice post!

Trump named TWO good conservative picks in the debate.. Cruz lied about that this morning on ABC.

First Roberts, now this.

Ted Cruz is good pals and voted to confirm Obama’s favorite for Scotus, Srikanth Srinivasan to another court.

Cruz, who clerked with Srinivasan at the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, quipped, “I am hopeful that our friendship will not be seen as a strike against you by some.”

state Supreme Court UNANIMOUSLY, 8-0. Of course I'm bettin' you'd claim they weren't real conservatives.

Hedge your bets towards how many are left sitting on the bench after their votes? Lets just say Judge Roy Moore is now head of the Supreme court in Alabama. I have met him personally at several Tea Party events. Bill Pryor quickly left the state after being thrown a bone from Bush for his actions. The Recess Appointment given Pryor is today of relevance in that Obama may try to use it to put in his supreme court pick if Congress slips (or GOPes makes an underhanded deal with Obama).

Now the court is solidly conservative. 8 - 0 was also the vote total (Moore Abstaining) they voted last year to uphold Alabama's constitutional definition of marriage (which the public voted 81% in favor for).

That’s fine, but I think Cruz continually using Scalia as a campaign talking point to attack Trump starting immediately after his death is far more questionable from a standpoint of respect and propriety than Trump simply answering questions about what he would do in regard to the Supreme Court.
