I guess an apology is better than nothing, at this point.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Trump said it before the Primary! Cruz lies then apologizes after the damage is done. IMHO the apology is disingenuous

I was a hard core supporter, but now I am looking else where. Unfortunately I don’t like the alternatives much...

Again, the people that took the video and transcribed it are sticking by it. Cruz didn't do it. They simply tweeted it and apologized when Rubio objected. That sounds right to me.
Has Trump apologized for the false Coburn tweet? Do we now embrace double standards and believe we are "fair"?

I agree with that. Still, it’s appropriate to credit the campaign for admitting it propogated a false story, and it did so, in this case, in a timely fashion.

Another embarrassing act from Cruz.
He's certainly not acting like the brilliant man we were led to believe he is.

I don't see much damage to Rubio, because the story was on thin ice to start with, and the repudiation came well before any votes were cast. I also see an upside to cruz, taking away some taint of "dishonest campaign," by accepting responsibility.
That doesn't cure everything gone by, but repudiation was the right thing to do. Beats the heck out of doubling down!

Their numbers combined in South Carolina would be a formidable force, however, as Trump says, they don’t control their supporters who will go wherever they wish.
Much is made by Karl Rove of Trump having only 1/3 of the republicans supporting him. Rove says, “that means that 2/3rds don’t support him.”
Then it is like mathematical crickets in my brain: when will they also follow through and say that this also means that 80% don’t support Cruz, that 80% don’t support Rubio, that 93% don’t support Kasich, and that 94% don’t support Carson?

Ted Cruz is a low life useless human being!!! He is going nowhere...but, waltzing with his soul brother, lunatic, nutcase, ego-maniac, insane Glenn Beck into the cesspool of obscurity, where they both rightfully belong!!! And....you can add Rush Limbaugh & Mark Levin to the list of Cruz low life!!! The folks that supported and voted for Ted Cruz should be totally ashamed of themselves!!!
And...just for the record....Ted Cruz did not defeat Donald Trump in Iowa......his cheating, stole the election!!! And...shame on the state of IOWA for letting that bogus Caucus stand....uncontested!!!
GO DONALD TRUMP!!!!
