Many locations didn’t have enough initial supply of ballots & had to get more delivered.
A friend of mine was in charge of one location & he pleaded with them to give him more ballots. They did—before the doors opened, and he still ran out. Over 100 people WAITED for more ballots to be delivered.
People are sick & tired of Politically Correct crap from the ESTABLISHMENT Republicans.
The undercurrent of anger is finally bubbling to the surface. The GOP convention people better get on board.
Democrat caucus turnout in Nevada was 30% LESS than 4 years ago.
Republican turnout was almost TWICE the turnout of 4 years ago.
Democrat caucus turnout in Nevada was 30% LESS than 4 years ago.
Republican turnout was over TWICE the turnout of 4 years ago.
Democrats in Nevada were allowed to register as Democrat right up to & including their appearance AT the caucus on Feb 20.
Republicans had to have their registration in place by Feb 13, but since that was a Saturday, they had to be on record by 5 PM Friday, Feb 12. NO one could just ‘register’ at the Republican caucus.
Neighbor who was registered Democrat wanted to vote at local Republican caucus & was furious that they would NOT let him vote. I caucused at that same location. At least 100 people already signed up & inside the gym at 4:40 PM, earlier than we thought. Stayed until 6:50 PM or so, and wneh I left, there was a line over 200 feet long & 2-4 wide waiting to sign in & vote. I would guess that at least 2000 people showed up at our small rural valley caucus location.
I live in Nevada & there certainly was plenty of media info about having to be registered BEFORE the Republican caucus in order to participate.
I read that people were voting multiple times due to the disorganization and chaos at the event. How much of that record turnout is due to people voting more than once?”””” I live in Nevada. I attended the caucus on Tuesday night.
There were 2 SEPARATE caucus days.
Feb 20, a Saturday for the Dems. The Dems allowed people to REGISTER at their caucus—with no way to verify if they were even a citizen.
The Republican caucus was held on Feb 23, a Tuesday.
I went. EVERY single person there had to show an ID—either their driver’s license or their Registered voter card, which showed their precinct. AFTER showing my ID, the precinct poll worker found my name in the PREPRINTED book & I had to sign that book. MY signature had to MATCH the electronic signature already in that book-—exactly the same procedure I have had to do for the General election for years.
The lines moved very well, and I saw NO chaos of any kind. People were enthusiastic & polite & happy to be there. They seemed ready to push back against Obama & the establishment.
\
I don’t know how anyone could have voted more than once, if they had to sign the precinct book to even vote once.
I saw NO LACK of organization, and everyone was polite & helpful. There were shortages of ballots, but extra ballots were delivered quickly. The fantastic turnout was handled, and more ballots were delivered without a serious delay.
A friend of mine was running a location for 22 precincts. He had obtained 20% of the registered voters in his initial ballot inventory. They said to call when he had run thru about 70% of his inventory. He called & over 100 people waited politely for those extra ballots to arrive so they could vote.
The American people-—conservatives in particular are tired of the current situation in Washington & the country as a whole.
I am pretty sure that in Iowa & Nevada, the DNC numbers are PRECINCTS-—not total voters. \
IF a precinct in Nevada has 65 votes for Hillary & 87 votes for Sanders, that is ONE vote for Sanders. Winner take all—precinct by precinct.
Perhaps the reports I heard were for some other precinct. Glad to hear, though, that at least in your area it was orderly and legitimate.
The GOPe mightnot like Trump ....but they LOVE REPUBLICAN 100 PERCENT INCREASE IN TURNOUT.
Resistance will stop, money will dry up for Rubio. Because in the end the Repub Establishment wants more than anything else...POWER.
Tuesday is the last round of this fight.
Where can I get a good spreadsheet of RNC vs. DNC vote totals which includes super Tuesday?
