CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's murder rate so far in 2016 are the worst in nearly two decades, according to reports and the latest crime stats just released from the police department.

The department counted 43 murders, 165 shootings and 187 shooting victims in February.
The numbers show counts for the most egregious categories of violent crime have doubled since last year. The Tribune's tally shows 45 homicides for February and 102 for the year to date.
Police said gun arrests are up by 43 percent for February compared to the same time last year, while arrests for murder are up by more than 40 percent.
Starting Tuesday, officers will simplify their paperwork process in response to an overall decline in street stops by police.

While they are at it, they can completely wipe out the drug problem by making drugs illegal. Yeah, that should do it.
They have a hot 3-way race in the Mar 15 Democrat primary for States Attorney (County Prosecutor).
Shootings by thugs is not an issue in the Democrat primary.
Shootings by police is an issue.
Which faction of the machine gets the bribes is an issue.
Will it be the Obama faction? The Jackson faction? or the Gutierrez faction of the machine?
Never let a crisis go to waste when it comes to getting your fair share of the spoils of office.

Could it be the Chicago’s ABC7 has an agenda here?
That said, I am kinda rooting for Chicago to break that record. They deserve it.
My town = predominately white (90%) blue collar folk that have a 90% gun ownership.... ZERO murders/shootings in February.
My weekend = IPDA gun match... 50 men and women open carrying and actively firing... ZERO shootings/murders.
I am going to go out on a limb and say Chicago’s problem is the demographic.
Wait ‘til the weather warms up.
Can Obama’s white house name a single name?
1. Put a “Gun Free Zone” sign around the city. Problem solved. /s
2. Or, they could put ARGUS up over Chicago. Murders solved.
3. Or, they could use murders to drive a larger agenda, particularly if a president was the frontman. Amendment IIA obstacle solved.
Life does not matter to a totalitarian on the street or in government. Witness current events. Witness history.

Because of cities with demographics, local gun laws and the resulting gun crime statistics like Chicago the leftists will never win the argument that we need gun control. Ever. They make our point well. It’s not the guns. It’s the idiot holding the gun.
Maybe, just maybe, someone might try ‘gang control’.
