GOP has been called the “stupid party” for good reason, sadly.

When I was a lowly county committee member for the Republican party, I was required to take an oath to support the party candidate slate even if the party jammed a repugnant candidate down our throats. Being a biblical Christian, I take oaths seriously and had to swallow hard several times. These pampered elected officials betray grassroots conservatives routinely when they fail to force us to accept horrible candidates. If they can’t abide by the oath that comes with being a Republican Party officer, we should not be surprised when they routinely violate the oath of office when they are elected.

Yeah, no one has ever had a drink at a Christmas party.

She’s a good governor. Or at least so much better than what we’ve had in the past, it’s shocking.

She has a disagreement with you regarding Trump. Reasonable minds can certainly differ regarding Trump. No reason to act like a Democrat when faced with dissent.

Strike the racist Latina from Trump’s VP short list.

“She’s struck me as an establishment supporter for a while now.”

I’m not sure.

Most land in NM is controlled by the feds and a lot of the good employment is federal, so there is a certain amount of trepidation to buck Washington, as they can really hurt the state.

So she does have to cowtow a bit.

“martinez is a drunk dirtbag.”

That’s absolutely not true.

Just because you disagree with someone, there is no reason to act like a child.

“Remember the establishment outrage when Trump hesitated saying he would support the republican no matter who won the nomination?”

Concur. It’s an interesting conundrum.

Here is another RINO that would prefer to let Hillary pick the Supreme Court justices.

They are acting like a bunch of spoiled brats. Either nominate the person I want nominated, or I take my toys and go home. F them!

“Her remarks come following a recent Associated Press survey of GOP senators and governors across the country that showed just under half of respondents would not commit to backing Trump if he’s the nominee.”

Which is the point of the post.

We are heading to a train wreck of populist vs. elite.

It won’t be a pretty landing, and the conservative movement will be hurt by it.

Where are you getting that she is racist?

I’m a white guy married to a Mescalero Apache and never seen or heard of Martinez making a racist comment against either group.

Why should she as a Hispanic female Governor commit at this point in time? A good negotiators would extract something in return, e.g. the VP slot or a cabinet position maybe.

The GOP is facing its come to Jesus moment. I don’t think they fully appreciate the righteous anger of the people rebelling against their open-borders policies and their repeated failures to fight against Obama and the treasonous democrats. We the tea party rose up and gave them a majority of governorships, a majority in the state legislatures, a majority in the House and a majority in the Senate. They still refuse to do their jobs. No backbone. No fight in them at all.

So now the people rise up once again and this time it’s to bring in a total outsider to shake up DC. And he’s already doing a helluva great job shaking up the media and the establishment and the ruling class. And we have sniveling GOP cowards who should have taken advantage of the tea party wave to help us throw out the bums and get some anti-Obama action, now wringing their hands and trying to figure our whether or not they should support the choice of the people to lead us out of the DC ruling class morass?

Even to the point they’d rather elect Hillary?

There’s going to be some serious housecleaning, folks.

It will be a bloodbath.

She's not a no one. She's the Governor and she's drunk calling the 911 dispatcher to try and find out who put in the complaint about her noisy hotel party. And she did so in a threatening manner, throwing her title around.

Perhaps if she wasn't drunk she would have just ended the party, like a sober adult would

Disgraceful behavior. And it's got nothing to do with Trump.
Although I admit I do hope she endorses Rubio.

“would prefer to let Hillary pick the Supreme Court justices”

I am not a Trump guy at all.

I am way too conservative for Trump, and disagree on a host of issues, from Affirmative Action to federal use of land. I don’t care for the populist protectionist talk, either. That protectionism just doesn’t work.

But you raise the only point that could make me vote for Trump -— just how bad Hillary sucks.

The Establishment needs to go. The Establishment is why we gave them a majority in both houses and they continued to give Obama everything he wanted with only token resistance.

My guess is if Trump were not running, the Establishment would have approved any Scalia replacement Obama selected.

But I see your point. This could be Barry Goldwater all over again with Establishment Traitors helping a Democrat Criminal get elected just so they can continue to suck up campaign contributions from international globalist corporations and screw the American voter. But I think not. I think there are too many angry Americans in BOTH political parties who will support Trump.

I think the people who have a lot to worry about are the treasonous Paul Ryans of the world who will be looking for a real job after THEY are up for re-election.

” I don’t think they fully appreciate the righteous anger of the people rebelling against their open-borders policies and their repeated failures to fight against Obama and the treasonous democrats.”

I agree, and Martinez (who is not an immigrant; her family has been in New Mexico/West Texas forever — her dad fought in Korea, for example) is pretty firm on immigration, so you’d think she’d have some sympathy towards Trump in that regards.

(Contrary to what people think, being Hispanic does not equate to being pro-illegal, especially in the desert southwest.)

Illegal immigration is a real problem in NM. I have personally intercepted hundreds of illegals walking across my ranch and gotten ZERO help from the federals. Our local Sheriff has taken to arresting them for felony trespass (they cut the fence), which usually results in deportation, but not so much anymore.

I think her coyness re: Trump is really related to the oddness that is NM — you are conservative or liberal, not populist.

There has never been the manufacturing base here that was so hit in the middle of the country, for example, by NAFTA.

We’re ranching, oil/pot ash, or government. That’s about all that is here.
