Donald Trump has a commanding lead over Marco Rubio and John Kasich in their home states.

A CNN/ORC poll out Wednesday has Trump holding the lead in Florida with almost double the share of voters than Rubio (40 percent to 24 percent). Cruz follows with 19 percent and Kasich has just 5 percent.

The poll of Ohio Republicans has Trump ahead of the Ohio governor 41 percent to 35 percent. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has 15 percent and Rubio is a distant fourth with 7 percent.

Rubio's campaign is working nonstop to try and win the state. The Florida senator has essentially camped out in Florida, doing back to back events throughout the state.

Rubio ought to get out because at this point he's just getting embarrassed. Nobody ever expected anything of Kasich so he has nothing to lose but Rubio was supposed to be the next big thing and losing everywhere he goes is hurting his brand immensely. He's becoming a joke.

Lying to voters about being against amnesty then sponsoring it as the only significant thing he did in the Senate was a bad choice, Marco. Keep your dignity at least, drop out and then retire when your term is up.

After the complete train wreck of Rubio last night, it will be interesting to see the polls for this next week. We have plenty of polls for Ohio (66) and Florida (99), but North Carolina (72), Illinois (69), and Missouri (52) all vote next week as well, and we have had almost no numbers come out of those States.

It’s an interesting campaign season, that’s for certain!

By next week Trump could be half way to the delegate count he needs with most of the Northeast, West and Southwest still to vote. Game over for Rubio and Cruz if Trump wins Florida and Ohio.

I’d like to see both these self promoters gone...they have no chance of gaining the nomination and are just in the way!!!

Sophism = Seemingly plausible premise, but based on false assumptions or facts.

Yet, the GOPe meme continues to be “We must pick a different nominee, because Trump a majority of voters are voting against him!”

Heck, he’s beating candidates who are spending literally thousands of dollars per vote!

Rubio ought to get out because at this point he's just getting embarrassed.

I think he's in "die trying" mode. And actually, he's damned if he does get out and damned if he doesn't. His political career is over. His Senate seat is gone come January. No one in Florida wants him to run for governor in 2018. What's he going to do, go back to a seat on the West Miami City Commission?

Rubio & Kasich are you’re best friends, why would any Trump supporter want them out?

Kasich would not like to accept the VP spot but maybe he would with the expectation that Trump would step aside after one term. But would the RINO carry on Trump’s policies?

Right, and as Trump points out, even MORE voters are voting against the people he’s running against.

Kasich has clearly said he’s not interested, and I don’t think Trump would offer the spot to him. Remember the early debates, where Kasich interrupted, ranted, attacked Trump as “a joke” and karate-chopped the air? Trump doesn’t forget.

Wow, with Rubio so far behind Trump and Cruz only 5 points behind Rubio in Rubio’s own state, Rubio just needs to get out, endorse Cruz and team up to take Trump out in FL. Trump only has 40%, while Cruz and Rubio total 43%. And I do not believe much, if any, of Rubio’s support will go to Trump. But, it appears Rubio is either too proud or stubborn to see that it’s over for him. If he thinks he is going to force a contested convention and become the nominee with 150 delegates, he needs to see a shrink.

Kasich is an anti-gun Quisling. He needs to retire.

I agree with you, but Donald has “burned bridges” with almost all of the potential VP possibilities.

Kasich would not like to accept the VP spot ...

Why, does he have something more important lined up ? Of course he cannot say he wants it. He is running a positive campaign and that his swing state is critical to a GOP victory. He is in a good position.

Rubio ought to get out

That's not a good idea. He'd never get past dropping out before his own state's primary. In the future, he might get past a poor result.

I hope Rubio stays around so his political career is ended permanently. He’s obviously lined up a lobbyist job with the establishment. He’s been doing their bidding for years now.

Trump should propose that no member of congress may lobby congress for ten years after they leave office. That’d shut down the revolving door a bit.
