Citing top Marco Rubio donors, Fox Business reported Wednesday that the Republican candidate will drop out of the presidential race before the crucial Florida primary if his poll numbers don’t increase in that state.

“They’re saying barring some better polling… he will likely suspend before Florida. That’s what his money-men here in New York City are telling me,” host Charles Gasparino reported...

This would be stupid on his part. He’s already gone this far. His name will be on the ballot, so he will be embarrassed one way or the other anyway. And certainly if he goes out tomorrow or Friday, it won’t be in enough time to help Cruz.

Gasparino’s is a sleazebag ...wouldn’t trust a thing he says! Wonder how long it will be before Rubio goes on CNN live claiming this is another Cruz dirty trick???

If true, buh bye foam boy—we hardly knew ye. But then, we didn’t much want to anyway.

There’s a middle path Rubio could take, that would save his dignity, and perhaps his political career.

No, I’m not going to spill it, because I’m not interested in helping him get through this gauntlet unscathed.

I agree. It just not make sense. I can see him dropping out after Florida though. That is if the GOPe does not make him an offer he can’t refuse.

I also believe that if it gets too bad in terms of the polls (and IMHO that means if he does not show some real improvement by Friday), and after he reflects on his future career...he may well drop out.

That decision will not be based on the public polls though...it will be based on their own internal polls.

Right now there is enough “chatter” about people in his campaign...and now his donors...recommending things to him that those internals must also be showing things to be bad.

I heard from an unidentified source in an unnamed campaign that their super secret polling shows Rubio at 55 and Trump at 22.

“It was stupid on his part to even run in the first place”

I don’t think his establishment handlers ever intended for him to get this far. Trump entered the race and threw all their careful planning right out the window. Now they’re stuck with this awful scenario.

I was just watching the Rubio Rally in Hialeah stream. Rubio introduced Megyn Kelly who then existed from a bus parked next to the speaker platform. She was there to do a live interview of Marco in the middle of this Rally.

Before Kelly showed up, Rubio only spoke about 10 minutes in English and then about 15 minutes in Spanish. He didn’t look very happy, but Megyn showing up like that indicates to me that he is not dropping out before March 15.
