The GOP at the fed level really, truly sucks. Man we need an alternative.

How many Cruz supporters would leave Cruz if he apologized for the one time he stood up for something? (before he backed down, that is)

The GOP has treated congress as a playground in recent years and as a result the progressive doctrines of the democrats have advanced to an intolerable level, and Obama has been unchecked in perception if not in deed.

I think the shoe’s on the other foot. Why should he apologize to them? He should tell them, “Politics isn’t for sissies.”

Cruz should not apologize for his efforts on the senate floor.

The GOPe wants to coopt Cruz to do their bidding...and then they will thrown him to the curb.

Instead, as soon as the combined delegate count for Trump’s pledged delegates plus Cruz’s pledged delegates go over the threshold needed to win, Cruz should striff the GOPe and throw in with and endorse Trump and become his VP candidate.

This would:

- Unite the vast majority of GOP voters.
- Deal a mortal blow to the GOPe.
- End all talks of any brokered convention.
- Create a ticket in Trump/Cruz that would smash the DNC in November.
- Create a potential for a 16 years turnaround in America.

Did I read it right?

They want him to apologize to people voters don’t like for doing things voters do like?

I’m having a hard time figuring out how any GOP politician other than Cruz has ever won an election.

Cruz negotiating from a position of strength? Doesn’t look like it

Maybe Ted isn't negotiating, but really means what he says.

He’s a politician and he’s a lawyer. He probably means what he says but no one actually knows what he’s saying because he hides his thoughts in his words. Let’s get Trump elected outright so he has a strong hand and the GOPe has no chips to play. Only way to truly blow it up. If he goes into the convention needing something from them they’ll still have a foothold

I'm not really okay with Ted right now, but making the guy give them their pound of flesh for the world to see? Brutal. What's after that? Make him put on a chicken suit and kiss Tom Donohue's ass in front of the Mexican embassy?
