That absolutely goes against the spirit of the Constitution. Obama has every right to nominate a Justice, and THEN the Senate has every right to reject that person.
The GOP should have just said this ahead of time: We will not hold hearings if the nominee is out of the mainstream (ie, too liberal).
Then when Obama says “I nominate...”, the GOP says “Nope, no hearings for that one. Next.”
Repeat until January of 2017.

You don’t get to sneak your Justice in at the last moment. This was tried before and it was post pone.

With the current Senate we have we cant trust them at all to do the right thing. It’s as though someone paid someone within the NSA bug $$$$ to check on every Congressional member and make up a blackmail dossier for him to use whenever he needs to bring someone back in line. Or 0 has access to a whole lot of $$$$ to handout whenever he needs their cooperation. Don’t trust them one iota to do what’s best for the People or this nation. Not one smidgeon.
The moment this nominee steps into a Senate hearing, he’ll be confirmed. The democrats will turn it into a dog and pony show. The GOP will be out maneuvered.
