Jeff Sessions knew exactly what TPA/TPP was and didn’t need McConnell to tell him.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell should be the apologizing to Cruz and Conservatives for lying to their face.

Voted for Cruz in the primary. Will not again. After he said Trump was the cause of the ‘anger and rioting’ he lost me. Go Trump, go. To hell with those currently in office.

“He has to bet along with the establishment because Ted really doesn’t have an independent power base.”

Isn’t that the perfect description of GOPe?

“... McConnell should get on his knees to ask Cruz’s forgiveness. Mitch is a liar and an evil man....”

I AGREE ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.

McConnell’s LIE forced Cruz to re-vote .. and Cruz was really mad about it.

And, I believe, because of that, the GOP-e tries to lie about it even more and accuse Cruz of voting for something he did not vote for. At least, that’s the way I see it.

You just proved my point. You are so stuck in Trumpeuphoria that facts don’t matter.

I think he already has. Linda Graham holding a fund raiser in Ted’s honor is a tell take sign IMHO.

Yes, Ted Cruz is GOPe. He is just an impolite, line jumper. He didn’t wait his turn. He saw what Obama was able to do, made the deal with the same sponsor, and went ahead.

Turns out Obama was part of YHWH’s plan, Ted Cruz isn’t. Ted is up against a type of Samson, and the Temple of Dagon is going to come down around him.

Look up! Your redemption draws near!

How does my statement prove your point. Jeff Sessions understood the damage of TPA/TPP and voted against both. Yet Cruz was clueless and went on the word of McConnell voted for TPA and then against TPP after the fact.

Yeah, I’m stuck in Trumpeuphporia.

Neil Bush signing on to his campaign should of opened up a ton of eyes to Ted Cruz.

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Give the Shemp of the family a sinecure with no real power. I don't consider Sarah Palin to be an Establishment insider even though she endorsed the odious John McCain.

Cruz has an opportunity to get mainstream conservatives and establishment Republicans to coalesce around his candidacy.

Its one thing if they decide to back him. Its another entirely if he decides to back them.

The moment he does the reason for his candidacy disappears.

Trump is talking to McConnell and Ryan. If it is to win them to his agenda, fine. If it is to accept their agenda, then why should anyone vote for him? The same goes for Cruz.

You didn’t answer my original question. Having an intelligent debate with a Trumpette is like trying to have an intelligent discussion with a brain dead liberal zombie.

Import/Export Banks. There is your answer. Cruz should have been against it from the get go regardless of that. Why would we want to give the worst President in history the power to screw this country further.

by reaching out to Trump, Cruz is touching Mitch where he doesn’t want to be touched.

by reaching out, Cruz gets the power and mitch loses the power.

That’s correct, the ExIm slush fund that’s a gigantic crony capitalism scheme that lavishes taxpayer funds on a handful of influential companies. Cruz and others were against reinstating the slop, and McConnell lied by saying there was no deal with Obama for ExIm extension in exchange for TPP/TPA.

Why is this important? Conservatives want a smaller government. Agencies eliminated and/or reduced. Trump has said he would eliminate DOEd, HHS and others. What is his record reducing the size and scope of government? Will he keep his word? One clue is his ethanol stance in Iowa - where he actually read a prepared statement unlike his normal off the cuff style. In it he EXPANDED ethanol subsidies, which like ExIm is a gigantic big government crony capitalism slush fund that benefits a few farm lobbies. Cruz wants to eliminate ethanol subsidies - and said so IN IOWA then went on to win the caucus.

Like you, I like what Trump has said over the last 6 months. My problem is I’m skeptical he will actually fulfill his commitments and I cannot rely on his earlier 60 years because he was a democrat. A NY democrat. Planned Parenthood, HillaryCare, all of it.

I’ll support Trump in November, but fear a lot of people will be disappointed if he actually becomes POTUS. Even you.
