LOL. Time will tell. It's only a theory.

But, if Kasich were REALLY on this ridiculous "never" train, he'd be far away from Utah.

And he's not. He's in there, plugging away, trying to keep Cruz below that 50% WTA threshold.

Has Kasich even been to Arizona?

“At the Convention, Romney will dump Cruz, and back Kasich,”

Or Paul Ryan!

Well, Bush wasn't a great President, that's for sure, but my recollection is that he was an OK Vice President. He did the stuff he was supposed to. He toed the line on policy. He vocally supported RR's vision.

There is plenty I don't like about Kasich, believe me. But, I still think he'll be the pick.

Who knows whom the dirty Mitt Romney will back. Maybe tomorrow he will back Kasich again. Media should ask who is it and why the change of heart. Bribe or blackmail?

One thing we can be sure of. It won't be Trump. Last night on CNN, some "insider" told a story dating back to the 2012 convention. This thing between Romney and Trump isn't political. It is PERSONAL and it is fairly longstanding... not recent. Visceral hatred on both sides.

It's one of the reasons I've been advocating for him to make a call to Trump and make a deal. Judiciary. Executive Branch appointment. Something.

There will be something if Donald tries to unite the party. You can't just freeze out the number 2 vote getter. Personally, I think SCOTUS Justice is about the safe and best place for Cruz. AG, and the guy would be investigating Trump and half a dozen Senators within a year.

Outside of that, an agreement for resume building by getting together on legislation. For example, Trump could (I doubt this as far as the name goes) for example build the "Great Wall of Trump and Cruz" so to speak. So Cruz could spend 4 years writing signature legislation on Healthcare, Immigration, and Taxation (IRS Reform). I don't think Cruz would have to back track much to find common ground with Trump on those issues, and then he would be good to go in 8 years.

In 8 years, it might be said that Kasich is too old anyway, and Cruz would be ready to go.

The problem with GHWB wasn’t his tour of duty as VP, it was the fact that he was able to become president because of it, and start the process of undoing everything that Reagan began. Then you have to add to it, the fact that he also laid the groundwork for “W”, who was, at the end of the day a lousy president who gave the country Obola. K-sick is worse on policy than “W” was, and he should never be allowed to get anywhere near the Oval Office. You can’t just look at today, you have to look down the road too. There was a time when I thought a Trump/Cruz ticket would be wonderful looking down the road, but in the intervening timeframe, I have been able to see Cruz for what he really is, and now I don’t want Trump to give him entree to the presidency because he’s another “W”!

Romney's got the Midas touch. Everything he touches turns into a rusty muffler.

Kasich sure is butt hurt over Romney leaving him at the altar for Cruz. Now Ted is joining in and calling Kasich a spoiler. Bwahahahahaha It would be sure joy if Kasich gave his delegates to Trump.

I personally think that Cruz should make the following deal: he becomes the solicitor general for a few years. He probably can’t be attorney general, because that has likely been promised to Christie. During that time, he personally vets all candidates for all Federal Judicial appointments, and makes a recommendation of two or three people for each position, with President Trump making the final decision. Somewhere down the line, John Roberts is “encouraged” to retire in order to “spend more time with his family,” and Cruz is nominated to be Chief Justice. The Senate will rush to approve him, so that he will never be involved with politics again (despite what Linda Graham said, it is still easier to do this then to assassinate him on the Senate floor). For Cruz, this gives him the maximum impact that he is likely to have. He gets to mold the Judiciary as he sees fit for a few years, and at the same time boost his experience level for being named CJ. Yes, in theory he could be president someday ( assuming that the Democrats don’t challenge him regarding his eligibility). But that is purely speculative. Being guaranteed to have this kind of influence and then be named to the Supreme Court is a great deal. He will have roughly 40 years in which to mold the legal framework upon which our country is built.

I agree. There are at least a dozen people that would be at least as qualified as those two, without the baggage of their horrendous policy positions. Keep in mind that if Trump’s vice president is virtually identical on policy grounds, it is less likely that someone will try to impeach him or worse.
