True but Cruz talks exclusively past. His speech yesterday was 2,000 years ago from what I saw when the Jewish religion began. He has no concept of future.

Lou Barletta has had an interesting career since he was first elected to the House of Representatives. He lost his first two attempts, the most recent in 2008 when he garnered 48%. In 2010, he finally made it with 55%. He got 58% in 2012 and 66% in 2014.

All of this while being hated by the GOPe which kept putting more Lackawanna County voters in his district until they finally gave up out of fear of losing the RAT Rep. Matt Cartwright in the neighboring 17th district.

For those of you not familiar with Lackawanna County politics, it is a cesspool of corruption and the home of Scranton, Bob Casey Jr's. hometown where they play the "devote Catholic" shtick to perfection while rubber stamping everything ObaMao wants and pretending to be moderate.

Lou has done a great job of representing his constituents as evidenced by the fact that this once "leans Democrat" district re-elected him by a 2-1 margin.

I'm sure Trump welcomes his endorsement.

Facts are not “blah blah.” It depends what day it is what position you’re going to get from Trump on anything. This is from 2012, much more recent than 2000. And this is from his own mouth, not in a book that he may or may not have written himself.

2012 TRUMP ON ILLEGALS: “We have to have some compassion, we can’t just throw everybody out”

“It’s very very tough on a human basis and a lot of other bases to be throwing people out…”

“I’m one of the world’s conservative people but i have to tell you on a human basis, how do you throw somebody out that’s lived in this country for 20 years?”

“And we also have to have a solution with compassion. We have to show some compassion, we just can’t throw everybody out.”

Cruz was afraid a bad bill was going to pass and proposed any amendments he could to try and make it better. So that amendment was to remove the chance for any illegals staying to get citizenship. It didn’t mean that he wouldn’t block any amnesty if he thought it would’ve passed. And he was never going to vote for the Gang of 8 bill no matter how many improvements he got amended to it.
