Cruz can’t beat Hillary because he can’t beat Trump. Even if Trump dropped out and ALL his delegates went to Cruz and Cruz did end up being the nominee then the primaries show that Hillary will absolutely destroy Cruz. He won’t pick up any independents or Reagan democrats.

Well, hell - looks like we have a new Designated Loser. The reality is this election is an out and out street brawl with street rules, with the general election promising to be the nastiest in modern times - Cruz is steadily disintegrating, showing himself not to be who we thought he was, nor as capable as was thought. Maybe I’m late to realizing this but it just hit me.
The ONLY reason the GOP-e is backing Cruz is to boost the odds of a brokered convention.
They care nothing about Cruz.
If Trump fails the first vote, Cruz will be the FIRST one kicked to the curb.
