Excuse me, but you are citing a statue. You are not recognizing that there are defenses to statutes, also there is common sense discretion by prosecutors.
Obviously by relying on a statue that refers to ANY touching you are introducing an element of absurdity into a political campaign.
The reporters get bumped, jostled, grabbed, shoved, pushed a dozen times a day.
There is an expectation that if you are following a presidential candidate surrounded by secret service in a situation where questions are not allowed, someone may pull you away.
Obviously we can’t have a judicial system that prosecutes every time a person is touched, and certainly not reporters chasing after candidates.
This is exactly why criminal laws can be abused to turn every day occurrences into “crimes”.
He didn’t apologize because she doesn’t deserve it she’s just a jerk.
Your partisanship is showing, this is contrived and will rebound on the reporter involved.

Yeah. It will go to Court and the Judge will watch the video and say, “Meh.” It’s a very minor Misd. charge with little supporting evidence of criminality. $500 fine or dismissal maybe.
But the Cruz people like it... Which is weird because they’ve been so adamant that a person should get to tell their side of the story and let the evidence way in first before smearing someone... Go figure.

The bruised arm photo I saw was of a right arm, If you watch the video it looks like she got her left sleeve tugged on.

I just watched the clip full screen and it does look like she was swung aside to get her out from behind Trump. She was moving between Trump and Secret Service. She got past SS all the way to the left and Lewandowski reached out his arm to sweep her back out to the right so he and SS could protect Trump’s flank. Its those guys job to protect Trump who allows closer access than they would like. If you force or blunder your way in you are going to get moved out.

I doubt this goes anywhere other than trying to diminish Trump in every way possible.
More of an outright attempt to cast dispersions and smear the Trump candidacy.
