That doesn’t follow. All or most abortions were illegal in all 50 states pre Roe vs Wade —— yes, even in states that had liberalized their abortion laws like CA and NY -— and no aborting mothers were ever prosecuted. Only the guy with the cash in one hand, and a sharp instrument in the other.

This is clear to anyone who can read. Trump wants to punish women who would have an abortion should that murderous practice become illegal.

2) If someone was to ban abortions you’d need to punish women to make it work, but he’s not advocating a ban

Sadly, as much as people like the idea of a non-politician, this is what can happen when you answer hypothetical questions. People criticize Cruz for some of his deflecting on certain questions, but this is a good example of why you don’t answer every question as asked.
